Cold morning wind hitted Ash on his face as he closed his eyes trying to control his breathing and heart rate on the roof of the gym in 6 in the morning. The aura flowed through his gloves materialising in a sword as he opened his eyes.
"Still not enough." Ash mumbled in tired way as he jumped down the boundary of the roof and his hand reached for a book placed on the wall. His hand flipped through the page as his sword disappeared in thin air. He read through the handwritten pages trying to master hidden arts as the door to the roof opened.
His eyes raised to greet the person which was revealed to be Diantha holding two cups. She walked toward Ash and offered him one cup as Ash sniffed the odour which smelled like coffee.
"Morning Diantha. Thanks for the coffee." Ash said as he placed the book down and blowed some air to cool down the coffee as Diantha stood next to him.
"So you found Clair?" She asked him as he nodded his head.He was practising those techniques because he had bad feelings about today's mission, as if he would discover something that he shouldn't.
"She is in cinnabar island. So how was your experience with Hina." Ash asked sipping his coffee. "She is a well mannered girl Ash." Diantha said as Ash smiled.
"I would call her shy." Ash offered as she shrugged her shoulders. The both drank in silence as Diantha's eyes went to the book Ash was reading. She picked up the book or rather a diary as she flipped through the pages with multiple drawings and stuff written on it.
"It was an ancient book on aura. Sabrina taught me everything from that book which she tried to translate." Ash told noticing Diantha reading the book. It was a book that taught about use and control over aura.
"Oh and thanks for cleaning the house." Ash thanked the girl. Last night when he and cynthia reached the house, they found it completely clean believing it to be work of Diantha as they both found her and Hina asleep on their bed.
"It was no big deal Ash." She said as she placed her empty cup and turned to face the sunrise which engulfed the whole saffron city.
"You were accepted Ash.You will have your trail upcoming week. And about that book, cynthia can help you translate it." Diantha said as Ash closed his eyes. Everything was going according to plan at least for now. Him killing Josh, getting accepted in his place, finding about Clair. He just hoped nothing would derail.
"I see. Thank you for taking care of Hina Diantha." Ash said as the door opened once again revealing Hina being carried by Cynthia who walked toward Ash. Hina was still a little girl for all of them, they couldn't let her climb the stairs all on herself.
"Morning Cynthia." Ash and Diantha both greeted him as she greeted them back and gave Hina to Ash who was still a little sleepy.
"Why don't we go and have breakfast." Ash offered as he walked toward the door leaving two ex champions behind.
"He had changed right?" Diantha asked as she picked up his cup of coffee and the book and stood next to cynthia.
"He have nightmares Diantha. He was sweating last whole night mumbling Sabrina's name all night long."
Cynthia said remembering what happened last night. After they came home after disposing the body of Josh and hitted the hay, cynthia heard weird mumbling coming from where Ash was sleeping. She walked to his room and witnessed him sweating and mumbling something in his sleep of which she could only hear Sabrina's name clearly. She woked him up as his bloodshot eyes opened and he gulped for air as uf someone was strangling him in his sleep.
He just brushed it off and forced Cynthia to sleep but she knew it was not the case.
"I think one of us should be with him most of time." Diantha said as she walked past Cynthia before the blonde woman held her hand.
