"Pardon." Ash froze. What was she saying?
"I said what would you do if I loved you?" She asked once again standing in front of him. Ash's ears were working rather fine. He heard right. Queen Ilene said something he never wanted to hear from anyone other than Sabrina or those three.
"It isn't time for jokes Queen Ilene. We should talk once you are in right senses." Ash was about to walk away when a hand grabbed his wrist freezing him on his spot.
"I am serious." All that was visible on her face was seriousness. She wasn't joking.
"With all due respect Ilene hime.. You know i am getting married today right. Even if your feelings are true. I doubt i would be able to return those feelings." He wanted to break free but his body refused to.
"You can't run away Ash.." She said turning him around as his body obliged. His mind wanted something else but his body wasn't in any mood of listening. He cursed his aura as Ilene's eyes locked with him. He had seen that look. It was a look he had seen in the eyes of those three. They were genuine.
"I can't queen ilene." He said.
"You did so much for Rota Ash.. Why don't you become the next heir of the kingdom. Everyone wil be happy. My feelings for you are true." She said as Ash wanted to break through the body paralysis that was overtaking his body.
Why does she loved him.
Maybe coz he saved Rota.
"You can't defy me too Ash.." She said. She begun to close the distance as a thin layer of sweat covered Ash's face. His skin felt like being poked by thousands of tiny needles and his throat dried out. He wanted to stop her but his body refused to.
He didn't wanted to break their trust. He didn't wanted to kiss someone else other than them just a night before their marriage.
Ash was a scum and he knew that but he wasn't such a scum who would trample upto his and others feelings and so it happened.
His body broke free from her pushing her away as he felt all the power from his body drain out. He leaned against the wall looking at Ilene who crashed on ground from his push.
Will rota still support him remained a question.
"Congratulation Ash.. The curse is broken." Her voice echoed through the hallways as Ash head turned to face her. His hand rose toward his temple wiping away layer of sweat as he placed his hands over his eyes.
"What do you mean?" He barked toward her.
"I don't know what i would have done if you kissed queen Ilene." His head shot around as he saw those three leaning against a blind spot in hallway looking at him.
"Whats the meaning of this?" He asked slowly standing up.
"It was necessary for you to break through the curse. You are the first one in a whole millennia, no history of Ashura clan who broke through the curse and disobeyed the royal family." Ilene said standing up as all of them stood around in a circle.
"So was it an experiment?" Ash asked. No use of getting angry over something that benifits all of them. The curse was something very dangerous. And Ash being a pure aura user was a even bigger problem.
"The royal family is divided into many branches Ash with the one in Rota being head branch. The members of Ashura clan obeyed the royal family for as long as records go into the past. Over time the influence slowly died down and aura users only listened to the main family because of the the fact there were no pure aura users left." Ilene explained as Ash just looked at her dumbly.
