Ash and Diantha stood in front of a marked grave closing their eyes praying. The cool breeze blowed indicating the beginning of rainy season in Kanto as Ash sighed. It was just like the day he begun his journey.
Both of them slowly opened their eyes as Ash looked at the gravestone in front of him. His mind remembered all the time he had with her as he felt a hand hold his.
Kanto was changing too. The gym leaders rebelled against the already destroyed organisation taking each and every city under them once again. Team rocket was almost destroyed. Just almost. Ash would destroy them completely. If it wasn't for them, sabrina would have been with him and Hina.
If it wasn't for them, they would have been a happy family.
If it wasn't for them, nothing would have ever happened.
"It is fine to cry once in a while you know." She held his head over her shoulders as he shedded tears over all the losses he beared over years and how many of them could have been avoided.
They stayed like that for sometime before they pulled back. Her hands ran over his cheeks wiping away the tears as he held her hand.
"Is there somewhere else you wanna go?" She asked him as they looked at the clock. 5 in evening. They spent the whole day shopping and fooling around with Clair, Cynthia, Jane and Hina. Shopping for his outfits, Hina's dresses. It ate up most of their times but it didn't mattered.
In all the time, they were at the peak of happiness they could have been.
"There is a shrine on outskirt of this city. Me and Sabrina went there usually. They say it give blessing to couples for lifetimes. Wanna go?" He asked her looking toward the road leading out of saffron city.
"What are we waiting for?" She asked as they walked toward the outskirt of the city toward the shrine. The walk was silent and pleasant. No worries of the world. They stood on the stairways toward the shrine looking at the top.
"You said something about Scott wanting to meet you too right?" She asked walking up the stairs as the lamps on the stairs flickered open.
"He wanted to talk to me about something but i am too tired for now. Maybe some other day." Ash walked up the stairs looking at the dense forest cover on both side of the stairs. A light layer of green mould developed on the stairs making them a little slippery. Looked like not a lot of people came here.
"You should maybe talk to him. Might be something important." Diantha chided him as he chuckled.
"If it is something important then he will find me on his own and pop out of nowhere with Goodshow." Ash answered her as they lightly laughed. He was right. If it was something too bad then he would have contacted Lance.
Speaking of Charizard. He was out cold, using that much energy in one day was too tiring for him. Every muscle in his body begging him to sleep. And that was what he was doing. He was in Rota tiring his fatigued body. He won't be able to fight completely for a month or something.
