A man walked through an alley filled with dead bodies as his sword tip creaked against the walls of the alley. His long hair that reached upto his shoulder flew into air as his body was shot around thrusting his sword into a person's chest. His eyes held a dead look similar to someone.
"Where's it?" He cursed walking up and down the same hallway walking on the dead corpses as a faint voice called his name.
"Troy." His head shot toward the surveillance camera with a small speaker as he looked onto it.
"Sakaki." He answered back as a loud booming sound of metal clanking caught his attention. His head turned around as he saw a part of the metallic wall went up revealing a hidden path as his sword de materialised and he walked toward the dark area.
Made sense why he couldn't find it for such a long time.
"I expected you to find it." A voice said as he ignored the man walking toward the dark alley leading to nothingness when the lights flickered open.
"Whats this?" He asked Giovanni who still held his stoic gaze.
"Our ticket to kill ketchum. Get to work."
_________________________________________"You have got quite a pokemon team Ash." Alain said looking at his pokemons who stood on the sidelines witnessing everything silently with occasional cheering as he looked at them.
"I guess." He answered. Alain was right, they were quite a team. In terms of battling as well as emotions. They never left Ash even in his worst. They protected him when he was the most vulnerable, they saved him when he was losing himself, they made him realise there is more to world than just pain. He just have to look ahead the pain.
"So what do you think about becoming a champion once it is over. Surely Kanto will need a strong champion. And so will every other region." Sawyer asked the question built in his and Alain's mind as Ash went into a self analysis of himself.
What did a champion meant.
A strong trainer?
Unbeatable?
Someone who takes care of a region?
Ash believed none of the above. Defination of various things change once you grow up. For Ash, the world champion lost its main meaning and it was replaced by something else.
"Someone who sticks by his morals till the very end. I am not that kind of person, i don't think i can be a champion." Ash answered looking at Diantha kissing Hina's cheek who kissed her back hugging her neck giggling lightly as Trevor snapped the picture going into their memory box.
A champion isn't just a title. It is a role you have to fulfil till the day you die. Neither Cynthia nor Diantha were officially reigning champions but the people of their region, they wanted to protect them. The title of the champion is something that is stuck with you for thr rest of your life.
People expect from you. They expected from Cynthia and Diantha and they were trying their best to stand upto those expectations.
"And no one with half assed resolves become a champion anyway. My resolves are mostly like that unless you include my family in the equation." Ash shrugged his shoulder as Paul stood next to him holding a glass in his hand stirring the drink lightly offering one to him.
"I still remember it like yesterday when you were at temple of rock pokemon and asked was it a rock type gym. How pathetic you were." Paul taunted Ash whose brow twitched in annoyance.
"And i still remember it like yesterday when i kicked your ass in sinnoh legue." He said back with the same hostility as Paul and Alain looked at the duo.
