Gardevoir raised its arms forming a barrier around them using protect as Ash cursed.. The lock on attack collided with the protect getting cancelled out as the dots on the pokemon glowed yellow speaking something in morse code as they looked at it..

"Thats bad.. We expected them to come according to their power levels.. What now? The formation will break down.." Cynthia said holding a pokeball as Ash ran his mind through every single possibility.

They expected the Regi steel to come first then the rock member and finally the ice member and formed a plan and chose there pokemon in such way but battling such high level ice type pokemon in start was bad..

"Go ahead.. I will deal with it.."

"But Diantha.." Clair objected only to be cut off by a glare from her directed toward her as she stopped in mid sentence..

"You two are useless here.. Clair is dragon master and Cynthia's signature Garchomp is useless here.. Even if i am weaker than Ash and Cynthia.. I am still a champion level trainer.." She said as she nodded her head.. The ice beam collided with the psybeam as a explosion boomed the narrow path as Ash looked up at the roof..

It was stable. Good for them.

"I will deal with it and meet you at the top.. Go.." She said looking in front of her at the iceberg pokemon closing the distance between them as she cursed.

"Diantha.." Ash placed a pokeball in her hand and so did Cynthia..

"It is Infernape and Lucario.. If things go out of control.. Get away.. Don't even think about doing the risking life kinda shit.." Ash warned her closing her hands around the pokeball as she looked at him..

"We aren't heroes... Throw away that pride if anything goes wrong.. If you get even a little hurt.. I will kill you.." Cynthia warned slowly stepping back as she looked back..

"Good luck Diantha.." Clair's voice rung into her ears as she grabbed the pendant.. There was no harm in going all out from beginning.. Ash was in a vulnerable state since beginning.. The castle raid and magma ship stuff had tired his mind completely and same goes for his pokemon..

Charizard was out of battling condition anyway.. Sceptile and Greninja were still healing but were with him.. Lucario and Tyranitar battled a few hours ago and were without any medication in case of poisoning.. What remained with him were a few pokemon not on that high level.. Gardevoir wasn't much of a battling pokemon. Salamence, Garchomp and Lycanroc was there but still.. No one came as close as his charizard..

About Clair and Cynthia.. The regice  would wipe their signature pokemon within seconds.. And losing signature pokemon is a real bad start.. That left her..

She would use her trump card right here.

"Fuck.." Ash cursed running through the narrow cave network hoping to reach out as soon as possible followed by Cynthia as another explosion sound tingles their ear from behind..

A cool chilly wind blasted their back from the way they were coming from as they took a sharp right into another cave following the time flower sliding down a narrow hole going into even deeper network of caves..

"Ash.. We got to hurry. It is 5... The ritual will start after sunset.." Clair said from his back as his legs burnt down from the speed he was running ending with him stopping right at a divergence of road waiting for Cynthia to catch up as he swore loudly..

"I know.."
