The thing that happened right now was beyond what Ash could explain. He never sensed anyone behind him till the man spoke something. Ash knew one thing for sure. After the first attempt to kill them, his guard has been up. But these two managed to get pass his guard without him noticing.
His eyes slowly studied the person in front of him as he stood in between them and his group. Something was off here. Something was making him feel hopeless.
"Get to the car and wait for me. I will deal with them."
Ash understood this won't be a pokemon battle at any rate. One of the man's aura level were beyond his comprehension. Ash never believed someone like this could even exist at first place.
"Understood." They walked away leaving Ash alone. The three of them heard the seriousness in his voice. This wasn't time to play hero. They had Hina and Jane with them. They had to play every move with uttermost caution.
"Who are you?" Ash materialized a sword in hand and so did the man. Ash had never seen someone like this too. Someone who could create weapons like him. Sure he battled a weapon wielder in past on Cinnabar island but that guy had a pre built weapon than create it from aura.
"Your death." The man swung his sword closing the distance between him and Ash as the swords clashed together creating sparks. His eyes met with the assaulters. Rage was evident for some reason.
The man swung his sword once again as Ash side stepped. If he was right then the speed at which the sword was swing should embed it in the ground but what happened was something completely different. The man changed the direction of the sword whose speed rivaled Ash's counter.
"Fuck." Ash cursed as the sword's tip tore through his cloak grazing across his chest.
"Whats wrong? This isn't even the beginning of your death." The man relased a point blank range of attack toward Ash whose eyes tried to read each of them but reading a moment and deflecting it are two different things.
The speed was too fast. Ash knew about this technique but could never learn it due to his limited reserve. Among the fierce raging storm of attacks Ash relied completely on his instincts trying to dodge any attack.
The sword grazed his cheeks and arms as he swung his sword blocking an assault meant to kill him in one shot. His entire focus on dodging. Once the man would lose his stamina he will strike.
"Is dodging all you can do." He taunted Ash as another melee broke between them. This time the attacks were faster than before. The sword tore through his cloak grazing his left side of abdomen as he jumped back out of pure instinct.
The swords clanked once again as Ash was crashed against the tree. He needed to activate hidden arts. But he needed time too. All those arts require time to activate and this man wasn't giving him any time. Even to blink.
"You bastard." He swung his sword as hard as he could. Yeah. This could be the end. The man looked a little tired. One shot. He poured all of his strength in this swing hoping for it to end. The sword was about to hit the man when he disappeared.
"Wha.." Ash's sword crashed against the ground due to such high speed. The man emerged from above his head striking his sword as hard as he could as Ash's sword broke into two. Fuck. He was in a big problem.
"He swung his sword toward Ash's torso with an aim to slice it into two. Ash's eyes widened at the speed. He couldn't form a weapon in this short span of time. His hand rose with the remaining piece of the sword's handle as the man's sword hitted against it creating a shrilly noise.
Ash crashed against the canopy of the forest. His body bruised by hundred of wounds.
"Hidden inventory : katana." Ash yelled out as he twisted his body around seeing the man hovering above him. Like a raging storm he relased a barrage of attack toward Ash. Even if Ash was strong, he was no god. In fact he wasn't even the strongest.
