Ash walked with Paul toward the deck of the ship looking toward the horizon where the sea met the ocean searching for the aqua ship. Looked lile they weren't engaged in an all out war.

"So where are they? Not engaged in the war yet." Ash asked Paul who looked around seeing various Magma grunts as they pushed a cart mindlessly toward nowhere.

"You really think they will send their big guns out from beginning. How idiot can you be?" He answered as they entered the ship walking toward wherever Paul was taking them.

"Forget i ever asked something that stupid." Ash whispered walking mindlessly as they reached a storage area. Ash looked around seeing no one around. His eyes locked on the wall with a massive map of the ship as Paul pulled put his phone and snapped a picture.

"How's Reggie?" Ash asked Paul.

"Is that of your business?" Paul asked back as Ash cursed this man. Still the same antisocial asshole. He thought Paul changed after he kicked his ass back during Sinnoh legue but looked like he was same.

"I was trying to be friendly.." Ash shrugged his shoulder as Paul's sharp gaze met his.

"Shouldn't you be friendly with your real old friends?"

A bullseye that hitted close to home. Ash shivered down as hard as he could as Paul looked at him. His dead eyes gazing at his. Paul wondered how much he changed.

People say eyes are a window to soul of a person. But for him it was a gate to hell.

"Don't ever talk about them to me Paul.." Ash warned Paul. His past wasn't something he liked. No one would like to remember their own failures. And a failure to protect the woman you loved the most was too much. Ash's coping mechanism was he blamed it all on others and his past.

He blamed his past for everything.

"Or what?" He cursed Scott as hard as he could in his mind. Why the hell did he wanted Ash to meet up with the people from his past. It was a part of job what he was assigned to.

"I will kill you Paul. Don't ever take their name in front of me." Even if he met up with Brock, Dawn and worked with Clement, it didn't changed the fact he didn't wanted to meet them. It was all for his selfish desires.

"You just can't Ash.." Paul looked at Ash with his eyes dropping down holding a bored yet calculative look.

His job was to convince Ash to meet them but he was doing something else. He was taunting him.

"Oh really? What makes you think that. I killed Damian, I killed those grunts in cinnabar, I killed a whole city Paul. What makes you think i will hesitate to kill you." Ash's eyes rose to meet Paul. If someone else was in Paul's position he would have pissed themself. He was standing in front of one of the last aura users, maybe the last.

A person who destroyed a city. Did things they couldn't for years. Yet Paul was calmest he could be.

"You don't have what it takes to kill Ash.." That was the last words Paul spoke before he was slammed against the wall once again. Ash's eyes blazed with rage enough to melt the largest glaciers in the world.

Killing wasn't something Ash enjoyed but he could kill people.

"Say that again."

"Kill me if you can Ketchum." Paul held his front.

Kill.....
