"He kissed me." Cynthia screamed in the pillow without any hint of sleep in her eyes. All traces of tiredness and fatigue gone. The boy she liked kissed him.
"Cynthia you are freaking me out." Diantha muttered looking at her best friend. Cynthia have been like this ever since she reached the house. Awkward glances toward Ash, occasional blushing whenever their eyes met.
"There is something else i want to talk about." Cynthia said and sat crossed legs on the bed in front of Diantha as the other woman turned to face her.
"Sure."
"You never answered my Question Diantha." She asked in a soft voice.
The question she asked him that day about Ash. Diantha visibly flinched on the question averting her gaze."You like him Cynthia. Go make him yours." She answered facing the wall as Cynthia held her hand.
"It matters to me Diantha." She asked holding her hand with her own.
"No it doesn't Cynthia. You need to act mature. This isn't your dating simulator where you choose the harem route. It is real life." Diantha sneered at Cynthia. Cynthia was acting immature here.
Diantha knew she loved him then why is she so considerate about her. Why don't she just make him her.
"Please tell me. You are my best friend." Cynthia said back as she held her hand tightly preventing her to pull away.
"God dammit Cynthia. What if I even say i love him. Would it change anything. No. Want to know why? Because i wish for both of your happiness and I am willing to stay away because of that. My feelings are shallow. Why don't you just accept it." Diantha said to Cynthia as both of them looked in each others eyes.
"You wouldn't cry if your feelings were shallow Diantha." She raised her hand as she wiped a trail of tears flowing through her cheeks.
She hugged her best friend as she sniffled.
"I won't lose to you Diantha. I am taking Ash to be my goal. So don't gives up kay. He hates people who give up." Cynthia said as Diantha pulled away and looked her in her gray eyes or maybe eye.
Cynthia loved Diantha as her best friend and she loved Ash. Thats what she found out. If her getting with Ash meant her best friend would be sad than she wanted her to have a fair chance too.
"Why?" Diantha asked her. No one should give up on their first love like that.
"Duh its obvious. You are my best friend Diantha. The one and only i can call." Cynthia lightly laughed. They both leaned against the bed frame.
"Then i will do my best to win over him too." Diantha said as they both leaned on each other and closed their eyes.
"Yeah. May the best girl win. All i wish for is also his happiness." Cynthia answered her back. They both loved him to no end. And they hoped for him to choose the girl who was right for him and hina. Didn't matter them or anyone. Just someone who would make him happy like Sabrina.
*SHUFFLE*
Cynthia and Diantha jumped off the bed in surprise at the sound coming from under the bed as Diantha slammed all the switches open.
A figure crawled from under the bed as both of their eyes widened.
"Hina?"
*KNOCK*
"Princess you in there." Ash said as he opened the door witnessing Diantha and Cynthia standing like frozen ice and Hina looked like she crawled from under the bed.
