A/N: Got inspired by a favorite scene of mine from One Tree Hill and decided to put my own little Spencer & Olivia twist on it and this is what came up. This is completely separate from the little fictional world that I've created and written for these one shots so we'll see how this goes. 😂🥴

Smelling the aromas of the different coffee flavors and the whirl of all the machines, Olivia allowed her mind to wander. The business of the coffee shop was a welcomed change of pace from the quiet of her apartment. They should mention that in break-up quotes, "Will not want to leave apartment but instead wallow and be heartbroken." It wasn't that she hadn't tried to go out but being the sober friend amongst a bunch of twenty somethings, made it a bit more challenging. Her friends were amazing in their efforts to meet her out at places that would be more suitable but it never turned into the real distraction she was looking for. It didn't help that they shared most of the same friend group so it was more than likely that she'd run into him.

Him. The same him that she had never imagined being away from. But three months later and here they were.

Jordan being his best friend and her twin, tried to talk to her about it but Olivia always shut it down. A quick "Let it go, Jordan" or "It's just the way it is" were her go-to replies. She should have known that it would only be allowed to go on for so long. After relentlessly bugging her about meeting him and Simone for coffee at their favorite spot, she gave in and was actually looking forward to seeing them. Especially her sister-in-law.

Simone had been doing well at Bringston and now that they were all in their junior year of college, the visits were pretty much set in stone and had fallen into a sort of routine. This unexpected one was one that Olivia should have seen coming but chalked up to Jordan convincing the tennis star that she had to come in person to check in. She should've known better.

Her leg bounced in excitement and nerves at the upcoming conversation but it wasn't until she saw Jordan and Simone laughing as they made their way to the table that she was knocked out of her thoughts and looked up.

"Hey" Olivia smiled brightly, standing to hug her.

"Oh my God, I missed you so much Liv! How's my favorite Baker doing?" Simone asked, wrapping her arms a bit tighter, sensing that it was needed.

"I'm fine, really. I don't get why you let him talk you into flying all the way out to ask but seriously. I'm okay." Lies. The morning cries in the shower said differently but she wasn't going to let them know that. No sense in worrying them about something that wasn't going to change. No matter how much she wanted it to.

"I'm gonna let that little favorite comment slide since you're in need, but babe can you please tell her that she doesn't have to lie? And plus, Simone was gonna be here anyways because she has a tournament the weekend she was supposed to come. I'm the real favorite" Jordan defended to a glaring Olivia.

"Jordan!" Simone smacked his chest, "Yes, I was but I also would've been here for you regardless. He is right though, it's okay to not be okay. It hasn't been that long. And who knows, maybe you can guys can still work it out."

"There's no future for me and Spencer. We tried and it worked for a long time but it obviously wasn't meant to be. I mean, if it was then he wouldn't have left. Look at all we had to deal with to even get together way back when. Clearly it just isn't in the cards." Olivia looked down, playing with her fingers, not sure if she was trying to convince them or herself.

"Girl, bye. I see the dramatics are a Baker trait. You love that man and he loves you. Just because shit got complicated or messy doesn't mean you guys can't still sort it out or that you aren't meant to be. You were happy. For real and truly happy. Both of you. A little communication can bring that right back. Stop being stubborn."
