It had to be absolutely perfect. The set up was already in motion and it had to go as planned to give her everything she deserved. He knew that with all they had gone through to get to that point it would be the easiest question he'd ever ask. Without a shadow of a doubt, Olivia Baker was it for him. He didn't know why but the nerves of her potentially saying no still came. He blamed Jordan for that. Knowing how nervous he'd been, his brother still made it a point to rag on him and make him feel like it was a possibility even as confident as he felt in his relationship with Liv. He'd let Liv handle the slap upside the head after the proposal. For now he needed Jordan and Simone to play their part and make sure it went off without any complications.

Complications were all too common to the high school sweethearts. Coming off a stressful few years of college, an even crazier post year that included a draft and then trade mid-season, it was clear that to Spencer that he had met the person he could always count on to be in his corner. Almost six years in and he felt that same way he had the day he finally confessed to her that he was in love with her. Still felt the same way he did when they took their first trip to the cabin as an official couple (he still gave Jordan and Coop shit for disrupting that, but it was in the past- for now). He knew he would never get tired of her laugh, the way she would sing Aaliyah like no one was watching, or her secretly crying at older couples in commercials. He also knew for a fact that he wouldn't ever get tired of the way that she made him a better person and would ease all fears he had about the future or the weight he always struggled with feeling was on his shoulders.

Olivia always made it a point to make sure that despite how often Spencer let her know how much he loved her and how much she changed his life that she herself felt that ten-fold. Her reminders to him of how much she loved him were constant. How she loved his smile. Loved the way he could always ground her in moments of uncertainty or self-doubt and reassure her in little ways that he genuinely saw her. Loved how he put his family first, always. Loved how he would try to act like he didn't melt at the sight of Liv with babies and how excited it made her for their future. He would swear it was allergies, but she also loved how she would always catch him get teary-eyed when she would get dressed for date nights like it was the very first time he was seeing her.

The couple had battled a lot and Spencer knew that it was important that this night went how it was supposed to. That love was going to be solidified and he couldn't wait.

Knocking himself out of his thoughts. He texted Jordan to make sure he and Simone were still ready and things were in place.

After sending a quick text, he heard the door to the apartment open and saw her walking in.

"Hi babe, I just need like twenty minutes and then I'll be ready. I can't wait to kick your ass at pop-a-shot again. Kicking Jordan's ass is gonna be a bonus too." Liv smiled before giving him a quick peck and walking over to the bathroom to freshen up.

"You say that but I don't know, baby. Jordan and I are professional athletes. We may have a leg up on y'all."

"Definitely not. Simone and I are in sync just as much as you and big head. Plus, twin advantage is that I can automatically tell when he's gonna make a stupid move. Girlfriend advantage is also that I can tell when you're gonna try something. Like right now. Keep your cute little behind in that room because we're gonna be late if not and I already know that you're not coming in here for contouring tips." She said as she finished applying her mascara and started putting her make up bag away.

Spencer immediately stopped his walk over "How in the world did you do that? And maybe I was gonna come in because I need to learn how to beat my face too"

Liv couldn't help but laugh as she walked back in the room "Nice try, but we gotta go. When we get back later, I'm all yours and we can work on the thing you were actually gonna go in there for."

"Promise?"

"Promise." she winked.

"Alright, I'm ready. Lets go before I lose my motivation to sit through a night of Jordan moping about being beat by his sister and fiancée."

After a car ride that included catching up about their days and going back and forth about who actually won way back on their first date, they arrived at Castle Park.

Olivia was excited and Spencer's nerves started to amplify as they walked in.

Upon entering, Olivia was immediately confused. Despite seeing cars outside, the arcade was completely empty and a table was set up in the corner with candles, roses and she could swear she heard the faint sounds of Aaliyah's At Your Best playing.

No, there is s no way. It's not happening right now. I would've caught on. He definitely would've told Jordan and he would've let it slip. There is no way. Calm down. It's obviously just a romantic dinner. Bring it in, Liv.

"Umm...wait, Spencer what's going on?" she said with her eyes continuously scanning the situation while trying to remain calm. She calmed her breathing and turned slowly to see Spencer on one knee with the ring of her dreams. Tears immediately started to form in her eyes as she covered her mouth trying to contain her shock and joy.

"Oh my god. I'm gonna throw up."

Spencer let out a light chuckle.

"Liv, I love you so much. I thank God every day for Todd and chromosomal DNA because it brought me you. It brought my partner in every sense of the word. It brought me the person who can always make me refocus and who truly gets me. It brought me the future mother of my kids, the woman of my dreams. If I could spend the rest of my life waking up to your hair in face, walking into the kitchen on Saturday mornings to you blasting Beyonce and singing off key, you threatening fans of the other teams on the sidelines on Sundays, you carrying and bringing our kids into the world and more importantly having my best friend by my side, then I will be the happiest man in the world. It's clear to me that you're my day one and I want nothing more than for you to be my wife. So, Olivia Baker will you marry me?" he got out through shaky breathes and with tear filled eyes.

"You could've stopped at I love you, but you chose violence and brought my singing into it...." she trailed and lightly laughed "and that's how I know you're my best friend and the only person I ever want to go through this life with. I love you so much. Yes, a thousand times yes. I'll marry you."

He slid the ring on her finger and stood to kiss her with all the passion he could muster before getting interrupted.

"Okay, gross." Jordan's voice came through making the couple pull away and laugh.

"We get it, yall are in love." Simone echoed.

Spencer and Olivia couldn't help but smile and hug them.

"I'm gonna kill you for letting this man make me ugly cry but for right now, I just wanna say...OH MY GOD WE'RE  BOTH GETTING MARRIED!" Olivia couldn't help but scream as she pulled Simone into another hug.

Jordan and Spencer looked on at their fiancées and smiled.

"You do realize, we both now have to deal with wedding planning craziness from them right?" Jordan questioned.

"Speak for yourself. Liv already told me back in college that she was gonna let Mrs. Baker handle it all and just show up. Now, Mrs.Hicks is a different story so good luck to you and Simone." Spencer couldn't help but let out as he tried to hold in his laughter.

"Definitely should have thought of that" Jordan replied through a cringe.

"Too late" the girls replied in sync.

"Any way of just running back to Vegas? You know, nostalgia and all that?" Spencer asked jokingly.

"Oh absolutely not. I'm torturing them the same way they did me." Liv said before smiling into a kiss.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." Spencer spoke against her lips.
