Inserts "hey, how y'all doing" meme....😬 haha, i'm so sorry the remaining part of my other story's latest chapter isn't posted yet- after the last few episodes of the show, i've been struggling with motivation to comb through and edit it honestly. BUTTTT this idea popped into my head tonight as I ate dinner, and I wanted to just get it written and tie in some of my favorite moments before I lost it, so hopefully it's enjoyable! Thanks as always for the patience and for reading. ❤️

"I love you so much. I don't know if there will ever be the right words or enough time to explain how much, but I do know this. You are my best friend. From day one, it's been you and I, no matter what. I can't imagine my life without you and I hope that I'll never have to. When I told you that you always got me, I meant it. I want to grow old with you and keep building our life together. With every part of me, you're it for me. With that being said, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" Spencer was on one knee and waiting as he stared up.

"No."

"What? What do you mean no?" Spencer asked, completely confused.

"I mean no. That was the most boring proposal I have ever heard." Simone said with all the seriousness she could muster.

"Yeah, not gonna lie Spence, that was kind of weak." Jordan chimed in.

"I don't know why I even asked you guys for help."

"Because you know that we're the best people for the job. Now try it again. Oh! Maybe with Jordan this time. That way you can really imagine, Liv."

"Nope." Spencer immediately shot out.

"What?!" Jordan said, his face scrunching in offense.

"I mean twins, duh." Simone put her hand out to feign annoyance as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Nope, I am so good. Thanks though." Spencer sarcastically smirked.

"For real though, I don't know why you even want to practice. You act as though Liv will say anything but yes." Simone chuckled, Jordan nodding along in agreement.

"It's not that. I just want it to be perfect. Liv deserves that. She deserves everything. It's hard enough that Coach isn't going to be around to walk her down the aisle or celebrate with us, so I just want this proposal to be all she's ever dreamed of."

"Trust me, my sister would be good with a claw machine ring if it came from you. She's grossly in love with you." Jordan reassured the clearly nervous wide receiver.

"Let's not get crazy. My sister is down to earth but she's got her bougie side, so yes, Spencer- go all out. Just go all out in the way that makes sense for you guys." Simone added.

"You guys aren't completely useless." Spencer nodded, the exact plan hitting him making him pat Jordan's shoulder to make his way out.

"Thanks," Jordan smiled, before it hit him a few moments later, "wait, hey!"

"I worry about you." Simone deadpanned.

After a short drive, Spencer reached the destination that was part one in his plan. Crossing the wide space until he landed on the spot he'd been well acquainted with, he wasn't sure if he was ready for this. Time hadn't necessarily healed any of the emotions but he knew that in order to really speak to the relationship he had with Olivia, this was a piece that couldn't be overlooked.

"It's been a minute but I just wanted to come see you and say thank you. Thank you for coming into my life when you did and for giving me my shot. I remember that night so clearly. I remember the fear that that 17 year old kid felt. But I also remember the hope that I felt." Smiling as he looked at his shoes nervously, Spencer continued, "I never would have imagined all that you would bring into my life. Most importantly, the people. The biggest thank you is because through you giving me my shot, you gave me the most important relationship in my life. I wish I could physically ask you this but I like to think that you would just smile and say, "My man" but I want to do this right so here we are. So Coach, it's that time, I'm here to ask your permission to marry Olivia."

"I know I speak for him too, when I say that nothing would make us happier."
