"Absolutely not." Spencer said, shaking his head.

"I know, I know. Trust me, I don't like the idea any more than you do but babe, we have to. We're still going to be hands on and they will be raised by us but we're going to need someone consistent for them and we can't just rely on our parents or Jordan and Simone. They have their own jobs and kids so we have to suck it up." Olivia argued.

The pair had been going back and forth about the idea of hiring a nanny. Truly, Olivia did not like the idea of someone outside of family being super involved in the day to day routine with the kids and never wanted her kids to fall into the Beverly Hills, raised by the nanny stereotype she saw all too often. She knew that her and Spencer were strong and involved parents but with football season in full swing, the deadlines at work never seeming to be far enough out and the family having grown to a total of four kids ranging in ages 4 to 12 and each with their own, different extracurricular activities, the idea of not having consistent help seemed more worrisome than swallowing their pride.

Seeing the look on her face and knowing her well enough to know that she was not going to be backing down, Spencer let out a sigh. "Fine. But we have to talk to a few different people and get to know them. I don't want us going with the first person and it ends up being some crazy ass situation. It's gotta be someone we can trust. Someone close to who we respect an insane amount. That's the only way we'll feel comfortable."

"Oh don't worry, we were already going to do that. I totally agree, I don't want someone who isn't the right fit." Nodding her head in agreement, Olivia leaned over to get the list of names and phone numbers of recommended sitters from a local nanny agency. Peeking over and seeing what she grabbed, Spencer just narrowed his eyes and chuckled.

"You already had this all planned out, huh? So you just knew I was going to say, yes?" he asked rhetorically.

"I mean, yeah." She smirked, making her way over to the opposite side of the kitchen island to meet him. "I kinda figured I should be prepared in case I had to bring up the pros of this for us and our...adult time."

"Adult time?" He said with his excitement barely hidden. Adult time had been hard to come by with the chaos of life and raising a family, so the idea of having an extra person to rely on for the rare date night was a welcomed bonus to this idea. Maybe he could warm up to it sooner than he thought.

"Adult time." She affirmed with narrow eyes and a slow nod. His hands met her waist and he peppered her face in kisses and making her laugh.

"So, how soon can we start these meetings?" he questioned seriously as he pulled away, earning a playful eye roll from his wife.

The next morning, Olivia was straightening out the living room area to prepare for the first few interviews.

Spencer walked in and after almost tripping on the blocks, kinetic sand and stuffed animals was more than happy that they'd have extra help soon. "Alright, I know we agreed that we'd keep an open mind and not just go with the first person but if I trip over another toy- I may just keep them in the backyard with some snacks and juice boxes and the guy up the street can check in on them."

Shooting him a look before breaking into a fit of laughter, Olivia slightly agreed. "Yeah, I told Maddy to bring her crew upstairs but it seems she listens as well as the twins do because their sand is right there with Robert" she shook the stuffed giraffe before chucking it over to him.

After cleaning up the mess and sending the kids to the upstairs playroom with snacks, they prepared for the first interview. "Remember, open mind but clear head and questions." Olivia said the doorbell rang and she walked over to answer it.
