annegamento- a type of suffocation due to water being in your nose or mouth.

My eyes flew open when I heard the familiar sound of a click.
"You have good reflex," a feminine voice said. I grabbed the gun by the barrel before twisting the woman's hands upward. I knew she was used to the pain since she didn't drop it.
"You must be Luna," I mumbled before getting out of bed.
"E tu sei?"
"Estella," I said, holding my hand for her to shake.
She stared at my hand before taking it. "Luna."
I tightened my grip around her hand and pulled her forward.
"Where is my daughter?" I asked when we were nose to nose.
Her lips turned up in a smirk. "We are going to be good friends, Macáno."
I frowned as she snatched her hand from my grip.
"How do you know me?"
"I know all there is to know about Estella Iromá Macáno," she said while tucking her gun in the waistband of her pants.
Luna Veretti was tall and slim. She wore all black which was not a common color here. She paired her black turtleneck and leather pants with a pair of heeled boots. Her lack of makeup revealed the scatter of freckles across her nose. I could see the resemblance between her and her brothers.
Her short, dark brown hair was in a tight ponytail which emphasized her heart-shaped face. I believed she would look less intimidating if she wore her hair down.
"What do you know about me?" I asked after I checked her out.
"I know you graduated from Gulli in '14, and you had a child that same year. She has a lot of energy," she said before laughing. I couldn't tell whether her laugh was real or fake.
"You also know that if you hurt her, I will kill you," I said.
She smiled as if my words didn't faze her. "I know you've worked as a stripper for the last three years of your life. You lived with a guy for two years and-"
"How do you know about Gio?" I asked her.
"How do I know anything, Estella?" she asked me with a knowing look in her eyes.
"Adonis told you?"
I couldn't believe he would do something like that. He knew how confidential I wanted the subject. I didn't want to receive sympathy from anyone.
"He didn't have to," she answered.
I frowned at her then it dawned on me. She did her own research on me. Of course, she would be the "family protector."
"Are we going to have a problem?" I asked her.
She gave me another smirk. "If you are here to dig in my brother's pockets, we are going to-"
"Look," I cut her bullshit speech off. "I don't mean to be rude, but I don't care to hear about what you think you know. Your brother came after me, and no matter how much I tried to send him away, he did not leave. I have been through far worst than empty threats and a gun. I apologize for ending your dramatic speech, but you are going to have to come a little harder." I spoke slow and even with a serious look on my face.
Amusement was in her eyes, but her face was expressionless.
"We are going to be great friends, Macáno," she said before walking out of the room. "And there are enough bedrooms in this house, so find your own," she added before disappearing.
