Suddenly I heard, "Atlas?"

It was Antonio. I turn to face him. He was giving me a pitying look before he says, "Dolores told me..."

I sigh and he says, "obviously we need to talk... can we talk after lunch?"

I shift uncomfortably before saying, "Sure... we can use my room if you want... it's sound proofed to Dolores..."

He shook his head, "I don't care if she hears... she'll find out one way or another..."

I nod beofer we walked downstairs. I instantly felt Pepa, Julieta, and Bruno looking at us. I shook my head and built me a plate. I laughed quietly when I caught Antino slipping his leopard some of the food. I sat at the end of the table in between Bruno and  Antonio.

Everyone are and chatted lightly about what they did that day. I jsut stayed silent, eating and thinking about the next mural for my wall before I heard Rosa say, her usually bratty and selfish tone taking it's place as she said, "So Atlas, where you off to this morning? Abuela Juliet told us that you'd already eaten... what were you doing up so early?"

I hesitated setting down my fork before smile at her with thin lips and saying, "well Rosa, Two things,.. first... I was sick... so I was up because I didn't actually sleep last night... second, I know that no one else has spirits appearing in their room pretty much constantly so the day that you'd like to try staying in my room only to be woken up by crying and fearful spirits your more then welcome."

Rosa's cheeks flushed since I had a valid reason beofer she says, "Well then what were you doing today. After the speech you made about not using your gift I assume that you weren't using your gift..."

Julieta looks at Rosa befoer snaping, "Rosa. That's enough."

"No. It's alright Tia Julieta. She's curious... well Rosa. As everyone knows it is the sick season. So I was asked to help a still born baby girl and a toddler transfer... now if you;d like to trade places and help walk children to the land of the dead then you are more then welcome to Rosa..." I reply not realizing there're was a circle of Marigold petals that were no circling above my head. I flicked my hand and they went back to their flowers.

"Well at least no one else's gift harms them like yours... maybe you deserve it for taking my door..." rosa spat befoer her face went scarlet as Isabella was quietly scolding her.

I glared before I saw a drop of blood fall on my plate and I felt my nose beofer quickly covering my nose. If I leave the table then Rosa wins. Antonia looks at me alarmed befoer whispering, "what's wrong?"

I gently show him my hand. My palm was covered in blood. Antonio paled before I cover my nose again and he whispered, "go help that..."

"I can't... I can;t let Rosa have this..." I reply but the smell of blood was beginning to make me a little nauseous.

"Antonio,  Atlas what is it?" Julieta and Pepa ask

We blushed and Antonia gave me a worrisome look. I shook my head slightly. However, i should've e known better. Antonia quickly sent a glance ot Dolores who stood walking over to me saying, "Tia Julieta where do you stash the first aid?"

"Under the sink..." Julieta says cautiously

Dolores nods making me lower my hand. Everyone gasped at the mere amount of blood before Dolores holds a napkin to my nose, tilting my head back, walking me to the kitchen.

Bruno shoved. rest of his food in his mouth before following.

I cleaned my face and hand before Dolores held a tissue to my nose. I said, "Pepa gave me a cookie earlier and it helped..."
