65 ~ Antonio's POV

I went back to my room and as soon as I closed the door my knees we t weak and I sank o to the floor. I sat against t wall and felt sick to my stomach. I'd hit her. I'd hurt her... and now I was loosing her. Again.

The door opened and in walked Dolores. She sat next to me and hugged me, running her hand through my hair as she did so, to comfort me. I let my voice get weepy as I whined, "I hit her Dolores..l I did soemthign I vowed or never do,,, I hit not only a woman.. but the woman I love... and I don't; know that she'll forgive me..."

Dolores looks at em and says softly, "as he'll forgive you Tonito.l, just give her time.,l there;s to much hurt and anger in the air for anyone ti see clearly,"

"Where is Eliana?" I ask

"In her room ,with Lucas... Luisa and Mirabell are in there watching them" Dolores replied

I nodded before roullinge ring out of my pocket, looking at it. From the way it hit the ground, the ring had dented. Dolores looked at it before taking the ring from me and said softly, "Get some rest Tonito...you both need rest to think this over..,"

I got to my feet and helped Dolores up before she says, "she'll come around Tonito... she always does."

Then she left.

I went up to my hammock and sat in it before I found myself stareing at the sky, I took. A couple deep breaths to calm down before heard a little, "Daddy?"

I looked down to see Eliana. I picked her up and set her in the hammock next to me before she says, "Why are you and mommy fighting?"

I sighed and said, "I hurt your mother... and it was unfair of me to do so."

Eliana nodded befoer she cuddled up against me and yawned before she says softly, "mommy isn't as angry as she's trying to seem... she's worried about how your feeling... she feels bad about what she said."

Then Elaina yawned again and I kiss the top of her head before she says, "Mama wants it talk to you again but she doesn't know what to say."

I nodded and said softly, "ok..."

She nodded before I laid down letting her lay on my chest as she started to fall asleep then she said softly, "I love you daddy."

I smiled and said, "I love you too mí vida."

Then she fell asleep. I played with her hair as I let my mind wander.

Why is Atlas pretending to be so hurt then?
That explosion of anger seemed pretty genuine.
I mean she's destroying her art wall...

I took a deep breath and sighed whistling quietly. A rat ran over and I pick it up before I say, "Go to Atlas's room... don't get caught. report back what she is doing,"

The rat nods and jumped off my hand before running off. I laid there for a moment, absorbed in thought until the rat got back and said, "She is holding the family scrapbook, looking at a photo of you, Eliana, and Atlas. She's going to paint it on one of. Her canvases."

I nodded before say, "did she see you?"

"Yes." I heard seeing a atlas standing next to the door.

I\my face flushed and the rat ran off. Atlas walked up to me and I saw her get a soft smile for a moment, upon seeing Eliana, before she got a sad on and walked over to me.  She played with Eliana;s hair before she shook her and took my free hand, putting it on her stomach as she says, "I'm sorry Antonio... I don't mean what I said about the not wanting anything to with you.l. It's not fair. This is your baby as much as it is mine. I don't have the right to keep it form you. Especially if we are going to loose the baby,"

Eliana stirred and shifted for a movement and once we knew she was asleep again I said, "What happened to the whole liar or truths thing?"

Atlas;s eyes got teary and she says, "I know... i- I have no words."

I 0it my hand on her face and say, "Atlas anger makes people go stupid things. Both of us did stupid things in that fit of anger."

I touch her face where I saw there was still some red marks on her face despite the arepas. She blushed and put her hand on mine beofer she says, "for the moment... let's go back to dating.., instead of fiancés... ok?"

I nodded and she looks at Eliana before Atlas asks, "Do you think we should tell her? She'll find out by our thoughts eventually anyways."

I looked at her and said, "Yes."

Then I gently rubbed Eliana's back until she woke up. She sat up and yawned saying, "Daddy... you woke me up form a dream."

I smiled and gently said, "climb down Eliana, I'll put you back up here but I can't sit up with you sitting on me."

She nods and slides out of the hammock, so I sat up and picked her up sitting her next to me before I say, "Eliana, you mom and I want to tell you somethi important ok?"

Eliana nods before Altas says gently, "I am pregnant... do you know what that means?"

Elaina thought before her face lit up and she says, "your going to have a baby!"

Atlas got a pained smiled before she nods and says, "yes. Do you know what that makes you?"

'A big sister!!!" Eliana says excitedly

I nod and say, "Now Eliana... I wanted to tell you this... do you know that Tio Bruno has visions... meaning he can see the future?"

Atlas tensed and hissed, "Antonio stop."

But Eliana nods and says, "daddy I already know... i could read you and mommy;s thoughts while you were arguing... I just didn't know mommy has a baby's in her belly now."

Atlas weakens and Eliana looks at Atlas before she says, "I'm still excited to be a big sister, even if it;s just for a little bit..."

Atlas got a teary smile before she picked up Eliana and kisses her in the side of the head, :thank you mí vida."

Eliana smiled and said, "awe, mama, don't cry."

Elaina hugged Atlas's neck a before she leans back and looks at us, saying,"I don;t want mommy and daddy to fight about the baby."

"Mi vida, we weren't necessarily fighting about the baby... we were fighting because i let my anger get the better of me and I said some thing I shouldn't have and I hit your mother... something I never should've done." I say as I stand

Elaina sort of sank back into Alta bit when I told her I hit Atlas and my heart ached. For that moment, she was scared of me. Then Eliana looks at me and then Atlas as she read our thoughts before she says,"Why are you tow still angry, if you both feel sorry?"

We both laughed sadly and Atlas says, "sometimes emotions are a little more complicated then you'd think."

Eliana nodded before she got a sad look and says, "Your not getting married anymore..."

At,as looks at me before she sighed and set Elaina down as she says, "It;s not to say. We won't ever get married, but right now we are not,"

Eliana nods beofer she asking, "Why are you both angry with Tio Camilo?"

Atlas;s cheeks flushed and she says, "Camilo did something he knew better then to do."

Eliana nodded, but she'd already read Atlas's mind. Then she yawns and walks o e rot me asking to for ups. I pick her up and lay her in the hammock before I day, "your mom and I are going to talk just a little ways away, ok?"

Eliana nods and quickly fell asleep, allowing Atlas and I to step away from her.
