Part 68 ~ Atlas's POV

I carried Eliana back to her room instead of mine before she says, "Mama,"

"Yes?" I reply

"Why are you lieing to papa?" She asks

I look at her curiously and ask, "why do you think that?"

She studied me for a moment befoer saying, "I- I can feel it... in your thoughts. Your guilt... but I don't know what about..."

I set her on her bed before saying, "I'm not lying to Antonio... now I want you to stay here... while I go find you a sna-"

But about that time Antonio walks in with two plates and a bowl. One had strawberries, one was churros, and the other had a few arepas.

Antonio hands me the bowl of strawberries, smiling at me. I blushed and I said, "scary you still remember this...'

Then I took them and he splits the arepas and churros with Eliana. She studied me while I ate my strawberries before she asks, "can I have?"

I hand her a small one and she bit into it befoer cringing and going, "Ew! That's gross!"

Antonio chuckles and takes it from her, eating the rest of it befoer saying, " Seems you and her have something common..."

"But mama is eating them..." eliana states

I smiled and said, "I only like them when I'm pregnant..."

She nods before we heard, "Hey Eliana- oh."

It was Lucas. He blushed and said, "Nevermind."

"Wait, Lucas!" Eliana says sliding off the bed, grabbing a churro before running over to him and handing it to him. He blushed and took it before he says, "thank you..."

She nods before she whispered something to him. He nods and says, "yeah..."

She nods and says, "okay."

Then he left. When she turned around we gave her a curious look and she blushed saying, "I asked him if he knew where Mirabel was..."

"Why?" Antonio asks

Her eyes got teary before she whimpers, "I ripped the leopard stuffy..."

I could tell that stung Antonio a little as he'd taken such good care of it, but acknowledging that he gave it to a five year old, he says, "Did you give it to her to fix?"

She nods and as if on que Lucas rentered the room holding it. Eliana takes it, thanks him, before handing it to Antonio. He inspects it before giving it back and saying, "it's okay Eliana... accidents happen..."

She blushed and nodded before we heard the front door open and a couple voices we didn't recognize fill the air. Eliana whimpered and covered her ears. I got a sad look and said, "Eliana, why don't you go to my room?"

She nods quickly and left.

We've noticed that she's become accustom to the thoughts of family, but whenever anyone new comes to the house, she starts to cry becuase of the noise in her head.

Once she was gone Antonio and I stepped out into the hall.

It was Santiago. Out gaze slid to Camilo and then Mariano. Who both knew who this guy was. But we were al curious to what he wanted. Santiago gave Pepa a bowl of fruits and said, "Hello Senora. I wanted to come meet you all... i[m new to encanto nad even in my first day I've already heard all about the Madrigals... so I just had to come visit."

I shook my head and looked at Antonio before covering his mouth and saying, "Hola Santiago. Me no gusta ese estas aqui." (Hello Santiago. I don't like that you're here)
