66 ~ Atlas's POV

Antonio studied me before he realized I was glancing at the waterfalls nervously so he took my hand and lead me up to the top of the tree. In the secret room. That way they would be hidden from my view.

I blushed and we sat down before we said at the same time, "I'm sorry."

We blushed and laughed softly before I shook my head and he asks, "why didn't the bruises along your jawline heal?"

I shrugged and said, "i don't know..."

He reached out to touch them but I caught his wrist and lowered his hand. He sighed and shook his head, "It;s strange... one event can push us all the way back to where we started."

I looked at Antonio and said, "Why didn't Bruno show me the vision of the miscarriage?"

"He didn;t want to scare you... and he told me to be there for you.., to make sure that you still felt like you could come to me... that this was an event that could likely push you to run away again... out of your fear of disappointing me, or the familia."

I shook my head and said softly, "why is it the truth, that's always the most painful? I want to be angry, that you all would accuse me of running... but I know that it;s not an unlikely scenario..."

Antonio shift back to sit on his butt instead of his knees before he says, "You know, Abuela and Mama always thought that women in our family exhibit signs of what their baby's gift will be while their pregnant. Julieta became very interested in growing things when she was pregnant with Isabella, Mama was going through sever mood swings when she was pregnant with Camilo, she also seemed to attract more small critters while she was pregnant with me... and I remember you seemed to struggle with your memory when you were pregnant with Elaina.... Have you exhibited anything out of the ordinary."

My cheeks flushed and I say, "I have been pregnant for a day Tonito..."

He blushed and nodded befoer he says, "Well I mean you act like you didn't enjoy it.''

I slapped his leg and said, "Antonio!"

He laughs and gave me a fond look before he shook his head and took a deep breath before he asks. "this is kind of a cruel questions to be asking right now... but once it's been confirmed that you lost the baby will you be able to see the baby's spirit?"

I took a shakey deep breath and nodded, "yes. That will likely be the only time we will get to hold the baby... then I will give him or her to my parents."

Antonio nods before I shook my head and rubbed my face before I stand and say softly. 'What are we doing.. .we aren;t getting anywhere with this."

He stood and took my hands before he asks "Do you remember our first and really only date?

I blushed and nodded, "of course. You took me down to the river... after buying me flowers and churros. And Bruno caught our almost first kiss..."

Antonio nodded before he kissed my hand and said, "I have made a detrimental mistake in our relationship. I did the one thing I vowed to never do. I physically harmed the woman I love. So, the only way I see us being able ot fix it, is by starting where we began... I don't want to take you out to the village... due ot everything happeneing but will you walking with me by the river later?"

I blushed and nodded, hugging him and kissing his cheek before I walked past him. I went downstairs and found Eliana wasn't in the hammock. I looked around and said, "Elaina?!"

Antonio came downstairs and we both called out to her, without getting an answer. We ran out into the house and called for her. We didn't get a response. However Julieta called Our names before she says, "Eliana went outside ot play with the others, she said you two told she could."
