We finished them around noon and about then everyone started coming back to the casita for lunch.

I helped Julieta make lunch before Set the table. I waited for Antonio to get back and when I saw him I found he was accompanied by Diego and Sofia. He laughed and I felt a tinge of jealousy grow in my stomach when Sofia wrapped her hands around Antonio's arm.

Antonio told them he needed tog o adn that he'd see them later and my stomach dropped a little when Sofia kissed Antonio's cheek.

Antonio glanced at me right after she did that. I knew what he wa sinking. He wanted to know if I caught that.

I gaze dropped and I turned walking away. I went back inside to get some plates.

I heard Antonio asking where I went so I staye didn't eh kitchen. Julieta told him and he came inside before saying, "Atlas..."

"What?!" I snap angrily

"It's not wha fit looks like..." he says

"How so? Do they know that you and I are together?" I ask turning towards him.

He takes the plates from my arms, setting them down beofer saying, "no-"

"Why not?! We both know Sophia has liked you since you two were twelve..." I snap

He puts his hands on the counter, but had me boxed I'm in between them. I crossed my arms and he says, "I don't want to tell them just yet... Diego is one of my best friends... and he's absolutely mesmerized by you, Atlas... and I don't want to break Sophia..."

My eyes got teary and I say, "She kissed your cheek Antonio! That's my job! Not hers!"

He sighs and suddenly I remember that book in his room. The secrets one.

There was a group of pages titled Girlfriends... but as far as I know he's ever ad a girlfriend other then me.

I tried to look him in the eye but he wouldn't let me so I said, "What is it Antonio... jsut say it..."

He sighs and says quietly,c"Sophia is my girlfriend... and she's pregnant, Atlas... I told her iI'd propose onc ei[d convince my mama not to marry me to you... but I love eyou Atlas... I couldn't do it..."

My eyes widened and I shoved him back, before hissing a the sharp pain in my arm .i grab mya ram and he got a worried look before I cry, "how could you?! You cheated on her with me!"

Then my eyes darkened, "you[ve been rubbing my stomach... ar eyou thinking of her, when you do That?"

He got an anxious look adn says,c"Atlas-"

"No. Don't you dare..." I snap before turning and going up to my room. I attempted to wrap my arm in gauze but I kept failing, managing to waist a a roll to gauze.

I just sat on my floor and hugged my knees. I felt dirty and gross. I never, ever intende dot do tha tot anyone. I never meant to be to girl a guy cheated on another for.

I heard soft footsteps before there was a knock. I snapped, "I'm not hungry..."

Dolores opened the door and I said, "oh..."

She walks over and says, "atlas I have no excuse for him..."

"Why didn't you tell me?" I whimper

"Becuase I genuinely didn't know... I might hear everything, but that doesn't;t mean I absorb everything... I can pick and choose which conversations I drown out... I knew he was dating Sophia but I drowned them out... I didn't know she was pregnant, I didn't even know they were still together..." She says before grabbing a roll of gauze and helped me wrap my arm.
