61 ~ Antonio's POV

"What was that about?" I ask holding her hand as we walked towards the bridge to sit on it.

She shook her head and rolled her eyes befoer she says, "Camilo didn't do his job... rather, he made my image in the village worse.  And then Dolores went and grabbed him to scold him but he hit me and knocked me down..."

I tilted her face towards me and said, "he hurt you?"

Atlas blushed and said softly, "it's alright, this is what you wanted anyways wasn't it?!"

She pulls ehr hand form grasp and walked a little faster to outpace me. I gave her a sad look a shook my head. I went to follow her but a pull then a to an landed on my shoulder rand said, "Family want to talk to you."

"Who in my familia?" I ask

"Mom. Dad. Sister, brother," the toucan replies

I sighed and said, "alright, stay with Atlas, if she does anything out of the ordinary send someone else to come get me."

The toucan nodded and flew after Atlas and I turned, going back to the casita. When I got there, I saw Mom and dad standing there with Dolores and Camilo who were arguing. Bruno was off to the side watching this happen. I walked over and said, "I was summoned."

Mom put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Camilo!"

A crack of thunder rang out from the cloud over her head when she said that. Something we recognized to mean, be quiet. Camilo turned and mom says, "tell Tonito what you said about Atlas."

"No." Camilo says trolling his eyes.

I shook my head and said, "Why are you bullying her?"

Camilo looks at me and says, "I don't understand why everyone is angry. Isn't this exactly what needed to happen? Atlas and I will stay away from eachother.."

I shook my head and snapped, "Camilo this isn't what I wanted at all. Or any of us wanted. We, or at least I, wanted you and Atlas to just go back to the way things use to be,"

Camilo groaned and turned his back on me rubbing his face before he spins around and says, "but don't you see thats not going to happen?! It's not possible! I slept with her Antonio"

Camilo's cheeks flushed as what he wanted to say he wouldn't let himself say in the presence of others. Then he shook his head and said, "I don't like bullying ehr Antonio. You think I enjoy seeing them fear in her face?! But this is the only way to desolve our feelings."

I fell silent befoer insay, "why couldn't you two just act like friends again?"

Camilo sighed and glanced a]up at the handrail to see Katherine standing there. Then he says, "because Atlas confessed her feelings for me a the day I married Katherine. At that time I laughed at Atlas. Seeing how she was what? 13? And I watched her heart break. She was being laughed at by the first man I'd even seen her confess a crush to. She rna off in tears and I immediately felt bad. I legitimately hadn't realized she was serious. we had been joking about the wedding up until that moment. I was the reason Atlas never branched out during her teenage years. Why she kept herself boarded up in her room... hiding. She lost all self confidence when I laughed at her.l, during that time I would visit her. Try to convince her to come out of her room. So go make friends. Go date. But she wouldn't. I didn't realized that all that time we'd spent together where she opened up to me about so many things caused me to develop  feelings for her. Then when you two started dating something me sort;ve snapped... the night we slept together she came to me because she had seen a dream of mine in one of the mirrors in my room. We slept together because we hoped that it would dissolve tensions. But it wasn't her idea Anotnio. It was mine. I convinced her. She was immediately guilty. But after that it seems tensions grew. We agreed that the only way we were going to break it is if I was cruel to her.., like on Katherine and I's wedding day."
