49 ~ Antonio's POV

I heard footsteps on the stairs and turned it see Atlas carrying Eliana. I got a warm look before rquickly chang it to a concerned one Altas handed Eliana to me who cried and hugs my neck saying, "I;m sorry daddy,"

I stroke her hair before sighing and saying, "I'm sorry that I don't understand what it's like to have a tough gift... but Eliana, I beg of you, talk to your mother before you get angry..."

Eliana blushed and looked at Atlas before nodding. Then she looks at me and I sigh asking, "how has your birthday been so far?"

She smiles and says, "good."

I nodded and kissed before forehead beofer Julieta walked out of the kitchen with a tray of churros and a tray of enchiladas. Eliana looked over in delight. Tow of ehr favorite foods. I set her down to let her go bother Julieta before I turned to Atlas and Atlas says, "Our conversation was mostly jsut about how hard you try to be a good dad..."

I blushed. Smiled befoer putting my aromas around her pulling ehr closer to me by her waist before kissing the side of her head and saying, "thank you Atlas."

"For what?" She asks softly, pulling on the bottom of her shirt. Her eyes glazed as if she were lost in thought. I lightly squeezed her waist and ehr face flushed and she looks at me saying, "I'm sorry. Did you say something?"

I gave her a curious look before she blushes and says softly, "I'm sorry Antonio."

I gave her an irritated sigh and say, "I'm going to start charging you everytime you say your sorry..."

She just rolled her eyes before I say, "for what?"

She shook her head a beofer resting it agaisnt my shoulder and saying, "you know for what... I just din[t think I'll ever be able to say I'm sorry enough..."

I smiled sadly but didn't saying anything.

Suddenly I noticed atlas looking at Camilo's room. I looked at her in slight curiosity and maybe a tinge of jealousy before saying, "Atlas?"

She looks back at me and blushes realizing she'd been caught. Her answers was, "I;m sorry, I was jsut thinking about everything over the past five years."

I nodded before I looked up and saw Camilo walking back with all the kids. He came inside and smiled quickly at Atlas and I befoer oging upstairs and to his room.

Atlas kissed my cheek before pulling away and going outside. I shook my head sighing. I was just being paranoid, I followed her and saw the Julieta had brought out several other lunch items. We kids make plates before we sat down and ate. When we finished eating we saw several villagers walks up towards the house we got the lunch mess cleaned up, befoer I welcomed everyone to the casita. Atlas knew that she would scare people away so she went and hid up in her room.

Soon sunset approached and people flooded the house .Camilo helped me welcome people until eventually Mirabel walked over and said, "you need to go be with Atlas and Eliana.. .this is eliana;s day..l"

I smiled and her and said, "I'm not proposing to Atlas until after the ceremony..."

I heard a small gasp come from Camilo's direction but when I looked up he was smiling and shaking the hand of a man.

I brushed it off and Mirabel smiled, "I know! I jsut want you to go be with them. Eliana is in your room and Atlas is in hers."

I smiled and nodded befoer turning and walking out. I went up to Atlas's room and knocked. She just snapped, "go away."

I got a confused look and said, "Atlas babe, it's me. "

I heard sniffling so I opened the door and found her sitting in the floor, her eyes were glowing yellow. She was trapped in her own head. She used to get like this as a teenager. When she's use her gift a lot in one w]day or if she got really upset what happens is her mind gets sucked to the mind of every dying person alive or that she has used her gift on. Forcing her to relive the pain ,the hurt, and the fear.
