63 ~ Antonio's POV

I walked to Eliana's room and knocked gently before slightly opening the door. She was still asleep but I caught a little flick of yellow slide under the bed. I smiled and whispered, "Lia, I caught you."

"Do you didn't," Lia answers

I shook my head and say, "don't get yourself caught by anyone else, ok?"

"Ok." She replies

I shut the door beofer I glanced down at Camilo's room, despite the rest he was supposed to be getting, he was standing outside of rhis room bickering with Dolores.
I shook my head and walked over shaking, "you know you two act more like enemies sometimes then siblings."

They looked at me and Camilo said, "I liked it better when you were younger..."

"Sure... sure..." I reply

Dolores looks at me before shaking her head, saying, "don't tell him, Tonito. This is something Atlas needs to work through without you two's intervention.

I blushed and said, "but, she's still hurt..."

Dolores shakes her head, turning me around before she says, "Tonito. Leave this to Atlas..."

"But i to;d her that Camil o adn I would deal with it..." I reply

"But that doesn't mean she wants you too... sometimes Antonio, the best way you can help someone, is just be there for them when they need you most..."

I sighed and said, "Alright alright..."

Dolores nods and Camilo says, "I'm still lost."

Dolores turns to him and says, "go get some sleep."

Camilo whines like a little kid and says, "I don't need sleep, just leave me alone,"

Dolores shook ehr head and I just chuckled at my older siblings antics before I walked back to Atlas's room.

She had the bookshelf flipped around and was looking through on of the books. Her eyes were teary and she looked up startled when I entered and she wiped her eyes shoving the book on the bookshelf, however I caught the title.

Family.

I walked over and said softly, "what's wrong, mi vida?"

She shook her head and just hugged me. I felt her body relax I smiled a bit. She feels safe near me.

I held her and rubbed her back before she says softly, "did you tell Camilo?"

"No." I reply

She nodded before she backs up and sits in her bed saying softly, "what are we going to do?"

I walks over and sit next to her, putting my arm around her before I ask, "about what?"

"I don't even know at this point..." she says and I felt her shutter, before I say softly, "Mi vida we can wait to get married... if your stressing... and we are already working out a plan to help keep the village on our side... for now we will just keep our parents, you, and the kids out of the village."

"Lovely." She sighed standing before she walks over to one of the mirrors. She brushed her hair as she said, "I've met Santiago before... I met him in my travels outside of Encanto. He was devoted to his church and, unfortunately, absolutely enchanted by the sight of me... he knew I was foreign so I told him about Encanto and our gifts, I showed him mine and he acted like he was amazed... I think I broke him though when he asked me to be with him... show him the way to Encanto... and I refused... so he calle die a Devil worshiper and I had to flee... it seems he followed me back though..."

I stood and walked  over to her, asking, "who wouldn't you have to,d any of us this..."

"So you wanted me to tell you there was yet another guy in the village with his eyes set on me? I don't think your self esteem could take it." She snaps at me, her eyes flickering gold,

She winced for a moment before her eyes went back to o normal ant says softly, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean that..."

I tilt her face towards me but she wouldn't meet my eye. I took her hand and say softly, "your fighting something aren't you?"

She blushed and said softly, "you already saw it, at the fountain... when my eyes glowed that was. It. I don't even know what to call it."

She met my gaze now and I say softly, "how long have you been fighting it?"

"Since I got back." She replies, but ti go t stronger after Eliana used her gift on me."

I nodded and pulled my hand away from her face. She looked away and I realized what Dolores meant by what she said... I've been so worried about trying to solve Atlas's problems that o haven;t really been ther for her. Or the things that can't be fixed.

Atlas walked out of her room adn leaned on the handrail. She looked down and watched the kids playing in the center of the house. I walked over and put my hand on her back as I say softly, "I haven;t been very good at listened and noticing, have I?"

She leans on me and say softly, "your an excellent fiancé, Antonio... your loving, and your caring... and your forgiving... and I don't really mind so much if you don't notice my internal battles... becuase you try so hard to defend me in our exterior ones..."

I smiled at her and kissed her forehead before she looked back at Eliana's room before she says, "Do you think she'll be alright?"

I nodded and say, "she;s strong... but she's fragile..."

Then I rub her back and say, "something you both need to work on."

Atlas blushed before ri caught her look up at Camilo. Then she took a deep breath and says, "I'm going to go apologize to Camilo."

I nodded and followed her over there. Camilo looks at us and Dolores smiled at me before Atlas says, "I'm sorry Camilo... for turning those Spirits against you..."

Camilo looks at her and says, "It's alright Atlas, I deserved it anyways... I'd been a jerk to you..."

She nodded before Camilo asks, "are you alright?"

She looks at me and I say, "someone's developed a fear of water but I told her we'd give it until tomorrow before we start having to test it..."

Camilo looked at her sadly and says, "Lo siento."

"It's alright... it's not your fault." Atlas says softly before she looks at Dolores and says, "Will you go find Bruno?"

She nodded and left and Camilo's jaw dropped and he says, "how did you get rid of her so easily?"

Atlas laughs before she says, "Camilo, leave Santiago alone... I need to talk to him..."

Camilo looks at her suspiciously and says, "Ok. That doesn't seem like a very good idea..."

"I said alone, meaning without you two... but luckily for me, my soon to be brother in law is a shapeshifter..." Atlas says with a mischievous smile

Camilo looks at her in surprise before shrugging and asking, "who do I need to be?"

"His little sister..." Atlas replies

I look at her suspiciously and say, "just how much time did you spend with Santiago..."

Atlas smiled but didn't respond to my question. She just looked at Camilo who says, "And why am I going..."

"Did you miss the whole thing we're I almost got drowned like, thirty minutes ago?" Atlas says

Camilo rolls his eyes before saying, "but if your talking to him alone, why do I need to be there?"

Atlas shook her head, subconsciously touching her skirt before she says, "I'll tell you when I want to go, until then just try to figure out what his little sister looks like..."

Then Bruno and Dolores returned.
