I picked up Eliana and held her close her walking over to Atlas. Atlas kind of covered behind me a bit. The kids were looking at Atlas in fearful fascination. Eliana was studying Atlas too before reaching out and taking a piece of Atlas's hair in her hand before saying quietly, "daddy her hair is Ginger like mine!"
I looked at her with a small, sad smile before returning my gaze to everyone. Dolores was the first to move. She took Mariano's arm and pulled him over. Mariano was cradling a shaky Hugo. When they got over to jsut Dolores whimpered through her tears, "heal him Atlas, please."
She looked at them before stepping out from behind me. She waves her hand over Hugo's body before hovering her hand over his chest. She winced and pulled back flexing her hand. Dolores and Mariano exchanged fearful looks befoer Atlas says, "the cuts are deep but I can heal him... he will have scars across his chest though."
Dolores nods and Atlas has Mariano lay Hugo on the ground. She makes us back up before looking at the marigold flower that was now laying on the ground. She waves her hand over it making the petals circle Hugo before sitting down next to him. She did her little hand drawing hand holding ritual before we watched the wounds on Hugo's chest heal. Hugo coughed and gasped for air. The petals dropped and Atlas fell back. Dolores and Mariano dropped o their knees next to their son.
Atlas's breathing was shallow and quick as if she were trying to make up for lost breath but was struggling. It was Bruno who came forward to help her back onto her feet. She leaned on him and he felt her head. He pales and says quietly, "we need to get you inside..."
She shook her head and looked at Julieta and then Bruno. Bruno nods and looked at me, passing the now weak Atlas off to me.
She leaned on me and Eliana just looked at Atlas with curious delight.
Bruno walked over to Julieta. Julieta quickly agreed and ran inside I assumed to make some arepas.
Everyone's gaze now turned to Eliana. Eliana started to cry and she buried her face against me.
However my anger was at Katrina. There was no way she couldn't have stopped this. There was no way she didn't see what was happening.
Katrina was holding Lucas, our gaze met for a moment though and a small smirk crossed her mouth before fading.
My face darkened and looked away. Julieta came running back soon after, she ran over to Atlas and offered ehr one. Atlas ate it and got a bit of her strength back. Atlas would still need rest but it would sooth her side effects for the moment. I took one and gave it to Eliana. Eliana ate it before feeling her side.
I just turned and walked past everyone going inside. Atlas quickly followed. We took Eliana up to my room, assuming if we took ehr back to the nursery she would only be mocked some more. I helped her change into a different dress before saying softly, "you need a bath Eliana, do you want me to have Julieta give you a bath?"
She blushes but nods. I set Eliana in a hammock to let her nap until I could go ask Julieta. Then I turned ot Atlas and said softly, "you need to rest, becuase your side effects come back. Your room is kind of a mess right now would you like to just stay in mine?"
Atlas thought for a moment before nodding. She laid down in my usual hommack nad I found myself smiling. I kissed her forehead beofer turning ot go find Julieta.
I left my room and went downstairs. All the kids had been sent to tr room and the adults were talking. When I entered the room however everyone fell quiet. I rolled my eyes and said, "Eliana needs a bath, Tia would you be willing to bathe her?"
Julieta blushes and says, "I'm already supposed to bath Grace..."
I nod before Pepa says, "I can do it..."
