I was sitting in Evan's office managing the base while he was away to acquire some new ships with Forbin, Le Triomphant and Veneto at the Naval HQ located in New York. as i was looking out at the window, a few shipgirls entered the office
"Enterprise. We're ready." shimakaze said as she entered along with Suruga, katsuragi, umikaze, yamakaze and a sleepy Shinano
"About the invitation to Admiral Jabir's floating base?" I asked and the girls nodded their heads
"Chikuma and the manjuus are getting our ships ready." Suruga replied
"Alright." I remarked before the television screen sounded an alarm and Evan's face appeared on the screen
"Is everyone here?" Evan asked
"Hai shikikan!" the sakura empire girls with the exception of Shinano replied
"Zzz." Shinano snored
"Lady Shinano! The shikikan is here!" Suruga woke Shinano up
"Where are you Evan?" I asked
"I'm preparing to head for home. I've acquired some new ships." Evan replied
"Shikikan-dono. We're departing soon." shimakaze informed
"I know. Be careful and take care of each other, especially you Shinano. Royston may still be interested in capturing you" Evan replied before turning his attention to Shinano
"I will." Shinano dreamily replied. Come to think of it, why was Royston so interested in Shinano anyway
"After I come back and dock my new ships, I will depart for Jabir's floating base and try to meet up with you all there." Evan added in
"Roger!" the sakura empire girls acknowledged
"And please send my regards to Jabir on my behalf. Off you go." Evan added in before giving permission to depart to the sakura empire girls
"Roger!" the sakura empire girls acknowledged before leaving
"Any questions before I go for my tea break?" Evan asked me
"No." I replied
"Alright. Bye." Evan replied before the screen turned off

*Third Person POV
In the shimmering sunlight of the pacific ocean, a petite girl dexterously darted across the cerulean hues of the water's surface, her bunny ears bouncing along with the waves
"Course: set! Signs of enemies: none! Bearing: clear! And best of all: no sharks trying to bite or eat me!" shimakaze exclaimed as she darted across the ocean. She was soon joined by other shipgirls of the same escort fleet.
"You're an absolute legend shimakaze, by getting lost, running in Shinano and not recognizing her." Yamakaze laughed.
"Uhh yeah but that's not the kind of legend I want to be remembered for." Shimakaze replied.
"I would pass out as well if i find myself in front of lady shinano." umikaze remarked.
"Don't lose heart girl. It will all be in the past once we prove to her how capable we are as escorts ahaha." katsuragi laughed.
"I hope so... I'm sorry for giving her a bad impression of us right from the get-go... To make up for it, I'm going to smash the heck out of any Sirens or stray enemies that get in our way!" Shimakaze replied before being silent. "Or so I'd love to, anyway, but there's no sign of enemies in the area... And without enemies, I won't get a chance to shine...'' Shimakaze frowned and her bunny ears drooped.
