End of summer

The rest of the final term passed in a haze of blazing sunshine. Hogwarts was back to normal with only a few, small differences — Defense Against the Dark Arts classes were canceled ("but we've had plenty of practice at that anyway," Rigel told a disgruntled Hermione) and Lucius Malfoy had been sacked as a school governor. Draco was no longer strutting around the school as though he owned the place. On the contrary, he looked resentful and sulky. On the other hand, Ginny was perfectly happy again.

Harry, Eliza, Rigel, and Ron's eight hundred points for Gryffindor securing the House Cup for the second year running, or Professor McGonagall standing up to tell them all that the exams had been canceled as a school treat ("Oh, no!" said Hermione), or Dumbledore announcing that, unfortunately, Professor Lockhart would be unable to return next year, owing to the fact that he needed to go away and get his memory back. Quite a few of the teachers joined in the cheering that greeted this news. The return of Hagrid and Dumbledore and the removal of Lockhart had caused Hogwarts to become the happy, carefree place of Rigel's first year.

As the train pulled into Kings Cross, Harry scribbled the Dursley's phone number on a scrap piece of parchment and gave identical copies to Ron, Rigel, and Hermione. Rigel doubted that judging by the expression on their uncle's face that he would allow it but he trusted the twins.

"Thanks for carrying my trunk." Eliza signed giving Rigel an award-winning smile that sent butterflies into his stomach.

"O-oh n-no problem" Rigel stuttered. "See you at Hogwarts?"

"Hurry up, now, Potter. Tell your little boyfriend goodbye," Mr. Dursely snarled

Rigel grinned flipping the bird at them. 

Eliza wanted to laugh at the look of astonishment on the Dursley's face. "Well see ya Black" Kissing his cheek, she left laughing at the look on Rigel's face

When they left. Rigel touched the cheek where Eliza kissed him and grinned.

"See ya, Potter."
