Anna's POV
....Okay, I can't do it. I sighed and went to go get my bag.
I tried staying home, I really did. It's been one thing after another for almost two months now, and my first month living with them wasn't all that quiet either. But I'm bored! Endie, Creeps, and Bones are out mining some cool cavern they found and there's only so much I can do on my own without losing interest. Even my baking is getting boring. After hour eight anyway, when are they getting home?
Meanwhile, Brine is out doing his 'job'. I'm not sure where his hobby ends and his job begins, but I didn't want to hang out with him right now anyway.
So why not go visit my dragon?
Besides. I made too many pastries.
I went downstairs and into the portal room, entering Notch's realm portal. He has one that goes straight to Ed's house, I think. I appeared on the other side, stumbling a bit from the new feeling. It was like a nether portal but the feeling was waaay off.
"Anna?" I looked up to see Notch and Wither walking this way. I smiled and jogged over to them. "It's nice to see you in good spirits again!" Notch chuckled.
"Yep. It's nice having things calm for once." I hummed.
"Then why come here of all places?" Withe scoffed and I rolled my eyes.
"It can't always be chaos here." I laughed.
"You'd be surprised." Notch hummed. "I'm curious, too, though. Your going to see Ed, right?" I nodded. "Why not get my brother or Endie to do it? Portal hopping is exhausting for mortals."
"Because Endie is out with Creeps and Bones and I don't want to ask Herobrine."
"Ooo, the full name?" Notch asked, jokingly.
"Still pissed?" Wither asked.
"Still pissed." I confirmed.
Notch seemed confused for a second before something clicked and he just groaned loudly. I can only assume he knows and its happened before. How Notch has handled them all for so many years is beyond me.
"It's beyond me, too, dear." Notch sighed and I pouted. Get out of my head! He smiled and patted my head. "He really doesn't mean it, he's just cocky. He won't admit it, but you mean a lot to him already." I couldn't help smiling at this but I definitely tried. I'll get over it eventually, just not now. "But you might want to wait to go visit Ed."
"Why's that?" I hummed.
"He lost his last fight and is still respawning. He'll be back today, but it'll take a few hours."
"Then I guess he'll wake up to a nice surprise." I chuckled and Notch smiled.
"Your far too good to us, Ann." Withe sighed. "You do remember we kill people for a living, right?"
"And what makes you think I didn't?" Their eyes slowly widened and I giggled. "I know exactly who I'm hanging out with, Skully. I just don't care."
"...I left you with Withe and Brine too long." Notch eventually sighed. Wither scoffed and I smiled.
"That one was probably Brine's fault." I chuckled. "I'll see you guys later."
They said bye to me and I turned to head back towards the portals. I'm still going to the End; It's not like I haven't stayed in the castle alone before. Normally when people respawn, they respawn in the last bed they slept in. I wonder if that applies to the Powers, too.
I made it to the End and appeared in what I'm guessing is Ed's portal room. There's only one portal and that is Notch's, and I've never really seen this room before. I walked over to the door and out into the hallway, looking around. Now that I think about it, I don't even think he showed me this room. I know the castle is big, but how did I miss an entire hallway?
The rest of the doors in the hallway looked just as unused as the portal room one did. Some looked like they haven't been opened in years. The whole hallway did. The plants normally well kept in the other hallways are dead bushes here. Every surface is covered in dust and it wouldn't take a lot to break a door or any other furniture here. Why was it like this when the rest of the house looks so well kept?
My curiosity was growing and I couldn't help peaking into the rooms and looking around the place. Despite only one person living here, no place in this castle feels as abandoned as this. I couldn't tell what most of the rooms were on account of everything in them being broken. Furniture was splintered or shattered, anything cloth is too faded and torn to tell what exactly it was. I only checked one more room.
What happened here?
