"Yo, H."
"What's up?"

"I need a favor."

Brine opened his eyes and sat up from the couch, spotting Anna with the box of Fire cakes with her. Getting use to this mess after a month of it and needing the kick to wake him up, he held his hand out. To his surprise, she set the whole box in his hand.

"Woah. What are we doing? Robbing a few villages?" He laughed, already eating one of the pops. She giggled and shook her head.

"Nope. Just a trip to Kracken City." She answered, holding his wrist. "I've got an errand to run."

The crew was gone, having gone to hang out with Notch and Wither. The only reason H wasn't there was a lingering grudge from the last fight he and his brother had. Brine took out a pair of sunglasses and they were off, popping up in the outside of the city, hidden by the woods. They walked out of it, having a little walk till they got there.

"Oh, the one that just so happens to have an End Portal still open." He smirked and she smiled back, knowingly.

"Does it? Well, that's convenient."

"Clever girl. Why not just ask me straight up?"

"You can't get blamed for something you didn't know about." She answered. "Right?"

"His duplicate dragon will just kill you."
"Does he always use a duplicate?"
"When there are multiple portals open."

"Then it's a good thing this is the only one right now."

"How do you know that?!" Ok now he was freaked out. She rummaged through her bag and took out a purple mini messenger. She didn't need a big one, it only had her brothers on it. She tossed it back in with a hum.

"My brothers told me."
"You scare me."
"Pft, trust me. I have no ill will in me."
"Maybe not when your happy."
"And you'll never see otherwise."
"Why you!"

They laughed as they got to the city's entrance. They ducked into an alley so H could disappear again. She left it and made her way towards the forest side, finding the building she was looking for and climbing the ladder down. Her footsteps echoed through the stronghold as adventures passed by carrying their winnings from ender cities and Hybrids walked back after being fully refreshed.

Usually End portals close withing a month of their discovery. This is the only portal that doesn't disappear and people didn't take long to notice and build a city near it. She nodded to the guards at the entrance to the room, one of them stopping her.

"Be careful, ma'am. The dragon will be back soon."

"How soon?"
"A few minutes."

"Oh, than that's fine." She beamed. "I just need one more endstone for my garden."

"Ok, just be careful."

They nodded to each other and she walked up the steps, dropping into the portal as if it was nothing. She kept her eyes closed, remembering the sick feelings she'd always get as a kid. It was almost natural to come here, they use to come after someone defeated the dragon at their own portal, just to explore while their parents worked. It was dangerous, but her brothers always coaxed her into it. She had to admit though, falling through the other end of the portal, the End was always so beautiful.

"Now to wait." She sang, finding a spot to sit.

She sat against one of the pillars and started reading, silently hoping challengers wouldn't come in and notice her there before Ed could. After a few minutes she heard a loud roar and the thundering of large wings, the usually windless plain now gusty. She fought the air trying to pushed her book away till it stopped. She was smiling wide till she heard the tell-tale sound of armor.

"Well, dang." She huffed.

The dragon perched on top of one of the pillars heard this, gaze darting to the woman hiding behind it. Ed snickered silently, already done with these challengers' shit. In possibly the quickest fight stopped in history, Ed pounced down and whipped his tail towards the portal, knocking all the incoming people back towards it and completely off the island.

"Well that was new." Anna mumbled, eyes wide. She jumped as someone dropped in front of her. She held her heart and laughed, swatting at Ed. "You jerk, you startled me."

"Why helllooo, pretty girl." Ed chuckled. He held out a hand to her and she gladly took it, letting him pull her up. He let go but she just rushed up and hugged him. He froze but soon relaxed, hugging her back. "If anyone was startled today, it's me. Didn't Endie say he wasn't bringing you back here?"

"Hehe, Do you see him around?" She giggled, letting go of him. He never even noticed that.

"Ok, you've peaked my interest. Want to head to the castle?"

"Sure." She thought for a second and frowned. It's not like her fear of heights was bad, but the thought of flying through the air definatly brought them out. "How?"

"Well, I could fly us there." He shrugged. He noticed the look on her face and his smile softened. "Are you afraid of heights?"

"Not usually..." She practically mumbled.

"Then how about we just teleport?" He offered. She nodded.

"You can teleport?"

"Look who your talking to." He chuckled. "But don't expect to see it a lot, I can't do it as much as the enderman. I'll get you in the air one of these days, Annie." She giggled, nervousness mixing into it. "Don't worry, I won't force you. Come on. Let's get you out of this cold."
