"Hey, Patrick."
"Hey, Endie. I need help."
"On what?"
"Anna needs a break."
"Don't bother. I got this."

~~~
*Knock knock*
"Come in."
"Break time, Cap'n." Endie teased. I rolled my eyes but couldn't help feeling relieved for the attention shift. My head feels far too full right now, unfortunately with useless knowledge leading me nowhere. Despite this, I also didn't want to stop.
"I don't need one-!" I yelped slightly when he picked me up princess style. "What's the big deal?" I pouted.
"I wasn't asking," He chuckled, teleporting away. I shivered as we popped back up in the End. "I was informing."
"Endie, please just let me get back to work." I know there's no point in asking but I'll be damned if I don't try. As expected, he shook his head and had an frustratingly good point.
"Your not going to be able to help anyone if you break yourself trying." I huffed and he set me down. "Will it help if I said it wasn't just for you?"
"... A little. What do you mean?"
"Your brothers asked me for help because they were worried about you." He than pointed to the castle. "And his highness in there is probably lonely." I couldn't help smiling at that a bit. Not that he's lonely but that Endie knows I might help. "I'll send Brine to come get you... Eventually." I stuck my tongue out at him and he sent me one right back.
"That's a bad idea. With all the pictures he's sent Ed, I'd imagine he wants to use H as a human shaped toothpick right about now."
"Why do you think I'm sending him?" I had to laugh at that one. "He doesn't learn from being told, Ann." He walked off, waving a hand behind him. "See ya later." Poof, gone.
I don't think he thought this through. My skin prickled with goosebumps as I hugged my arms, still in a button up and pants with no jacket. Sure, I had shoes on, but that's about as ready for something like this as I was. I heard the familiar thunder of huge wings, shivering even more violently from the wind coming from them. Than it stopped just as quickly and I felt something wrap around me other than an arm. I opened my eyes to see Ed smirking down at me, his arm and one of his wings wrapped around me.
"Not like I don't love this surprise visit," I smiled. "But you mind telling them to stop ditching you here without a jacket?"
"You act like they'd listen if I did." I giggled. "Can we go in now?"
"Of course." I was once again scooped up in a princess hold. "I'd rather have you alive than an incredibly adorable statue."
"Why do you guys keep picking me up?"
"Because we can, so we will." He shrugged.
I rolled my eyes as we went inside, Ed leaving me in the living room and coming back with a jacket and a blanket. The fireplace was already lit and in a matter of minutes I was a warm and giggly lump on the couch. Ed came back in with lunch and laughed when he saw me. After an awkward moment of him getting comfy too he spoke up and I already knew what it was about.
"So any new friends?"
"Saw the pictures from H, huh?"
"Yeeep." I smirked slight and sank into my blanket.
"Jealous?"
"No!"
"Mhm. Anyway, no. The people you saw were probably my brothers and my idiot friend, Zach." I explained. "He's a childhood friend and as soon as he heard from H that you'd get angry he started posing and hugging me whenever a camera was on."
"Your friend is an asshole."
"Yes they are, but one of them is your friend, too."
"'Friend' is a pretty strong word for me and Brine." I shook my head and smiled. He's lying, that much I know by now. "You have brothers?"
"Yep. And before you ask, no they aren't all older." Warmth from my tea filled my being and I already felt myself relaxing. Dang it, why is Endie always right? "Me and Arin are."
"How many do you have?"
"7." He choked and I laughed hard.
"Seven?!"
"Yep. Arin, Patrick, Kendrick, Leland, Andrew, Ogden, and...."
I hesitated, remembering already why I'm stuck here. I know I need a break and I want to see Ed but... I need to find him. They've accumulated too many enemies for me to trust this going on any longer.   I felt a presence beside me and looked over to see Ed had moved, giving me a worried look.
"What's wrong?"
"Endie dropped me off here to get a break from searching for my other brother." Too many clues, too many inconsistencies, too many leads to follow. I'm draining H and Endie from just how many places we teleport but who can blame me? He's my baby brother. ... And maybe, if I hadn't left, I could have prevented this. "Someone took him. He hasn't respawned, he hasn't been seen, there hasn't even been a note or a threat or anything. And he didn't run, he couldn't have. All signs point to something else but I can't find out what."
"Hey, hey, hey." He leaned into my view. "Calm down, Anna. Your freaking out." I hadn't even realized I was almost in tears. I didn't even realize how much I was rambling. It went silent before I took a shaky breath and moved my blanket, hugging Ed tightly. He hugged back a little after, rocking us gently.
"I'm sorry. It's not your problem."
"No, but you are."
"Your cheesy." I giggled quietly.
"Well, it worked, didn't it?"
"A little."
"Good. Now how about starting from the beginning?"
