Ed smiled, pulling the covers over her and knocking out the torch in the living room, the only other light being the fireplace. He snapped his fingers, knowing Endie was aiming to teleport to him now. Said enderman popped in but got a hand to his mouth before he could start complaining.

"Shhh, she's sleeping." He said, removing his hand. Endie narrowed his eyes but looked over the side of the couch. Ed was surprised to see him calm down, a small smile crossing his face. He stood back up and followed Ed to the kitchen. "Your not going to take her home just yet?"

"She hasn't been sleeping well. Much less this calmly." He explained, getting a mundane potion and downing it. "If I move her now, she may not go back to sleep at all. We'll head back in the morning."

"Should probably tell Creeps that."
"Yeah, one sec."
Poof- Poof.
"Done."

"Why hasn't she been sleeping well?"

"Nightmares. She won't tell me what about, but she's had them often enough that she doesn't want to sleep half the time."

"Ugh. My poor little rabbit." He sighed, looking towards the kitchen. He lied his head on the table, feeling tired himself. "Endie, you know I won't hurt her, right?"

"How is she any different to you than raiders or challengers?" He asked, but it wasn't just to spite him. He knows Anna well enough to know she'll find a way back if she wants to, but he just wants to know she won't be hurt.

"I don't know, but a dragon is a dragon. When we get attached, we get attached. And I'm attached to her." He answered, closing his eyes. Endie frowned.

"That's not a good enough reason, Ed."

"How about being lonely, Endie? Is that one?" Endie stopped, setting his drink back down. Now that's a new one. He's always known Ed was lonely, but actually hearing it from the man was surprising. A small pang of guilt hit him. "It's too quiet here, too cold. With time, Notch has somehow turned my home into a prison. It didn't bother me as much then as it does now."

"Then go apologize and tell him that, dang it." Endie sighed, turning his attention fully on him. "I've been telling you to do that for years. It's time you tried again, not to try suppress it with one of my best friends."

"I'm not using her to suppress it!" He snapped, not bothering to sit up. "I genuinely like having her around."

"You've known her for all of two days."
"Again. A dragon. I can not help it."

"I guess I can't say much either." Endie finally sighed, leaning on his hand. "She had me wrapped around her pinkie on day one. As soon as I saw her hurt, I couldn't really let it go."

"Than why are you judging me for it?"
"Maybe because I've seen you eat a person whole?"

"It was one time and that challenger was a douche."

"Ed, look at her. She may be strong but she isn't that strong. I don't want you hurting her, someone else hurting her, or you scaring her more than she already is." Ed rose an eyebrow and Endie waved his hand. "The woman's got deep-seeded issues. But anyway, no changing subjects. If you can promise me you won't let any of that happen, we've got ourselves a deal."

"I promise to protect her no matter what. And I couldn't hurt her if I wanted to, just so you know."

"Then fine. We'll take her here whenever she wants." Ed smiled softly and looked up at his friend.

"I'd like if you visited too, Endie." Endie rose an eyebrow but smiled back, turning to drink the rest of his drink.

"Ok. We'll visit more often."
"Thanks. I'd like that."

"Morning, sunshine."
"M-Mornin'."

Anna mumbled and stumbled over to the table. Endie picked his tea up and teleported one seat over, giving her the seat between them. She mumbled a thank you and plopped down in the chair, resuming her laying down in between them. Endie and Ed chuckled.

"Everything all right, Annie?" Ed asked, lying on his hand.

"Too tired to get up." She answered distantly.

"Totally couldn't be the lack of sleep for a week, right?" Endie asked.

"Nope." She answered, smiling softly.

"You should eat, hun."
"Too lazy..."

"Well I never said you had to make it." Ed chuckled, standing up. He patted her head and she hummed happily. "Hows steak and eggs sound?"

"Wonderful."
"What about you, Endie?"
"New hobby?"
"New hobby."
"Sounds great, thanks."
"Great, cus I need more steak."
"Damn you. Fine."
