"I need a shower-"
"You need a medic."
"Nah, it's fine.""Zack, there is a dagger still in your side." Brine said, flatly. The zombie took one look at it before taking it out and tossing it onto the floor. "There is no way your mortal."
"I'm a zombie, I might as well be immor-" Patrick elbowed him in the side and he crumpled like a paper plane.
"Don't encourage him please." Arin sighed.
All the brothers were in the medbay part of the base, Arin and Patrick staying by the back. Anna hadn't said a word to them but sent Arin the coldest glare he's ever seen on her as soon as he came in. So they figured that maaaybe it's a better idea to ask them what happened instead. Brine, Endie, and Zack had been gone all night clearing out that End base so they've all been left blind the entire time.
"How is Freddy?" Endie asked.
"Beat up but he'll be OK. Also, terrified. That too."
"How's Anna?"
"Hasn't said a word all night."
"Figures." Zack sighed."Ok, What happened back there?" Pat asked. Arin sighed but chuckled. He knew he'd crack, he's been worried all night. "Where'd you go, is everyone OK?" They both motioned to Zack. "Nah, that's normal. I mainly meant you two, seeing as Anna isn't."
"She just isn't talking, she was probably tired." Zack facepalmed.
"First off-"
"Not again." Arin groan."She doesn't stay silent like that unless something is wrong. Maybe if it's comfortable but that definatly wasn't."
"You don't say?"
"Second off: She glared all of hell and back at you. I don't know what you did or what you let us do, but something happened and you've dug some kinda grave for yourself."
They all stayed quiet while Pat calmed down, eventually doing so and groaning tiredly into his hands. Endie and Brine couldn't help laughing, he reminded them too much of Creeps. Arin patted his back.
"Better now?"
"I hate you, you did that on purpose."
"Well someone had to do it.""Just like Creeps." Brine chuckled.
"Absolutely." Endie agreed. "We're alright, Pat. Anna just, uh, had a hard time seeing Freddy like he was." He looked at Zack, who nodded in agreement. They didn't need to know. "She'll be better soon. And apparently that glare was justified. He was kidnapped by one of your allies, or ex-allies now, I assume."
"Yes, ex-allies." Zack answered. "Boss, is there any reason the Fairways would take him?" Arin flinched and tried playing it off. No one bought it.
"Nop-" *Bip!* Despite knowing she'd never hit him, Arin still yelped and jumped back from the pencil flung at him. It stuck into the wall, Anna taking it out and walking out the door.
"Stop lying. We'll talk about this in the office."
"Are we invited?~" Brine chuckled.
"Seeing as I'm apparently unstable, sure." Zack, Brine, and Endie shared a look. "Except Zack. Your not immortal, go get fixed."
"Dang it!" He nudged Brine.
"I'll tell ya after."
"Awesome."~~~~~~
Endie's POV"Are you serious?!" I snapped and Arin shrunk away slightly. "You couldn't just go break someone else's heart?!"
"It's not like I meant-" Anna glared. "Ok, I didn't mean to get caught."
"Was she at least hot?" Brine asked. Are you serious- this isn't the time!
"A sun-kissed goddess, Brine." They smirked and fist bumped, immediately getting smacked upside the head by me and Anna. "Hey, I can't help who I fall for."
"Oh really?" Anna scoffed. "You mean like the three other woman you 'fell for' while dating her?"
"I- take back my agreement." Brine mumbled. "Dude, you f-ed up bad."
"And I'm not getting you out of it." Anna hissed.
"Wait, what?! Come on, your my little sister. What happened to helping family?"
"I'm not helping you just so you can do it again!"
"I won't!"
"Stop lying!"
"I'm not lying!""Your always lying!" Well that escalated fast. "To our 'family', to our brothers, to me! You run around life lying your head off because you know someone else will get you out of it!" I backed away from them some and dragged Brine with me. I think he agreed on backing out of the argument because we didn't say a word now. I don't think we could if we wanted. "This will get resolved and than you'll just go off to play some other woman."
"Fine, I'm a garbage human being, I get it, but this isn't just me now!" Arin yelled back. Maybe we should leave? "If we don't fix this than it's our younger brothers who might pay! We need everyone, you included!"
"I'm. Not. Bailing. You. Out. Again."
"Than who would you rather get captured next?" The room went quiet until I heard something. Anna sniffle.
... I really do hate him now. Where did he hide all this? I see why she didn't want to come back here, and why she was so relieved we stayed. Does he guilt trip her like this everytime she comes back? I felt my own rage showing and stormed up to the desk, slamming my fist into it to get his attention on me. Arin took one look at me and shrunk down.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I growled. I saw Brine on the other side of Anna, just as pissed. "Aren't you her brother? All of their 'big brother'? Yet here you are, using them like steps on a ladder up to you."
"You aren't dragging her down with you anymore." Brine said. "When the kid is better, we are leaving."
"You two don't speak for her either." He looked to Anna but the fire from earlier was gone. She didn't even look at him, going to hide behind me. "Anna?" He asked softly. I don't care. He's done enough.
"Come on, Anna. Let's go check back on Fred." I mumbled. She hugged my arm and we were gone.
