"How are they?"
"I need to stop eating your food."
"Hm? Why's that?"

"I'll be too tempted to keep you if I do." He answered, tossing the last bite into his mouth. "Ok, lets allow Endie here before he murders Brine."

He snapped his fingers and I jumped a little. That's how he did it earlier?! I even saw him do it, what the nether! I just thought he'd remembered something unrelated to this! I was too busy complaining in my head to notice Endie pop in, but he certainly made himself known after.

"Ed, what the hell?! I've been trying to get to you two for hours! It's already night in the Overworld!" He continued to nag him for about 10 minutes. You'd think I'd be out of it from this, but again, I'm his confidant. I've heard it all. I sighed and grabbed an Ender roll, tossing it towards Ed. I saw his ear twitch and he glanced to the side, catching the projectile.

...
How can someone so intimidating do something that cute?

He tossed it to Endie, who caught it without a second thought. He than shut up and looked between the two with narrowed eyes.

*Munch munch*

"You better be glad this is so damn delicious." He turned to me and it was like a switch flipped. "There any more, Ann?"

"Of course, I wouldn't just make you one." I giggled, handing him another one. "I'm keeping some, though."

"Why? It is my prize." He whined slightly and I gave a smug smile.

"Future bribes."
"Seriously, what the hell, Anna."

"You two really are close." Ed said, acting like he wasn't scolded just now. "Why didn't you introduce me to her sooner, Endie? She's nice."

"You want the blunt answer or the logical one."

"Blunt."
"I hate you."
"Awe, I know that's a lie."

"No, I really do."
"That's a lie." I answered back. Endie looked down at me and pouted. "I can tell." He sighed and grabbed another roll, crossing his arms.

"Look, aside from being afraid you'd kill my rather small friend, it's not like the others had met her before now either. If they hadn't met her yet, I definitely wasn't going to bring her here."

~~~No POV~~~
"What changed that?"
"H murdered my home."
Endie choked on his bread while Ed stood there, not necessarily disturbed but deeply confused. He looked her over, debating on what to ask first: How are you so calm saying something like that and what the hell?
And with the best timing possible, Brine popped in before anyone else could say something. He was about to when an overwhelming feeling came over him, glancing over to not only see a pissed Endie but an angry Ed. Think quick!- He ran behind Anna, bending down and hugging around her waist as he hid. She lifted her arm and looked down at him, giggling.
"Anna, save me, I don't want to go through respawn again!" She thought he was playing but Ed looked like he'd very much like to right now. Endie noticed and sighed.
"Hey, Ed." Ed's gaze flicked to him, the glare disappearing. He was never mad at Endie. "Don't start getting attached, I'm not bringing her back here." All malic disappeared and he frowned, slightly pouting. Anna pouted fully, to his surprise.
"Awe, why not? I had fun." Ed instantly cheered up, silently glad his tail wasn't out to show just how pleased he was. Brine and Endie shared a look.
"Well for one, that." He answered, pointing to Ed's face. Ed just chuckled, that familiar predator's gaze coming back.
"Ok, yeah. There is that. But he hasn't done anything."
"Because we'd kick his ass." Brine and Endie answered, staring down said dragon. He acted like it was nothing but he made a mental note that they were both deadly serious on that one.
"...How?" She asked, tilting her head slightly. He smirked, all too entertained with her.
"Well, despite these two being my only friends, Brine I have no problem beating up. Bring Endie into the picture and I can't kill him. I'm too attached. Put both of them together and it's pretty much over." It wasn't hard to tell which part she clung to.
"Well now you have three friends, and they'd never hurt me." She beamed and it was almost enough to cover up the obvious hint that was. "Right?" The hybrid and phantom flinched, it was annoying how correct she was. Endie hissed a bit, the enderman in him coming out slightly.
"Yes." He sighed. "Now come on, Creeps has been worried sick." She frowned and mumbled.
"I'm more afraid she'll crush me this time than of Ed eating me, ya know." Anna joked. She went between the two and turned to Ed with the brightest smile he's ever seen. "Bye, Ed! It was fun!"
Poof, all three were gone.
...
The castle was silent again except distant sounds of Enderman teleporting. Ed just sat there, still seeing that smile and holding the half eaten roll of bread in his hands. Finally he sighed and stood up, finishing his ender roll down the quiet halls. Endie wasn't visiting as much and Brine basically made it guaranteed that he'd be pissed even if he hadn't blocked his teleporting. There was no way he'd take her back here or let Brine do it either.
"I just wanted some company." He sighed, sitting down heavily on his useless throne. "Is that so hard to ask for?"
