"But their my friends, too!"
"It's too dangerous, Anna!"
"I can handle it! You've seen me handle it!"

"Yeah; I saw you kill a man and get depressed about it forever." Brine sighed. I frowned deeply. "Also, your exhausted you are from hopping between portals all day."

"That isn't fair, you couldn't even teleport without crumbling like a paper doll earlier!" H looked offended but I didn't care. I'm right. I want to help and he's going to need it. "Please, Brine. They know who I am, they were hired to find all of us, let me help."

"Anna..." I know that sigh. With a deep breath, I completely deflated. There's no way he's letting me help. This is such BS; Getting Freddy back was a lot more dangerous than some stupid band of amateur bounty hunters. "Look, I get it. I do. You want to go get the trio back and kick the ass of whoever was stupid enough to take your friends, but as cool as I think your badass side is, you hate it. And clearly you can't mentally take it." He explained. I looked away from him and he placed a hand on my shoulder. "Besides, I said I'd start keeping my word about protecting you. This is me keeping my word."

"You choose now to be all noble?" I huffed and heard him chuckle. How can you chuckle at a time like this? How often do they get caught like this?

"Yes. Don't think I'm just shoving you out either, you are helping. I need you to inform Notch of what's going on while I track down that group. Needless to say, this isn't home anymore."

"Seriously, how often does this happen??" I scoffed but turned around before he could answer, heading for the basement stairs. "Fine, but if your not back in a few hours, I'm coming after you."

"I'm sure of that."

"And I'm bringing Wither with me. You'll never hear the end of it!"

"And then there was a time limit." He sighed and I heard him teleport away. He's probably doubled over in a cave somewhere now.

I made it downstairs and speedwalked through Notch's portal, only to feel my legs get heavier and my head lighter. Okay, so maybe I should have just asked him to teleport me earlier today, but it's too late for hindsight. Today just keeps getting worse and worse, doesn't it? I scooted over and stood up against the wall.

"NOTCH?!" I called. Half a seco d later he was directly in front of me looking winded. "Woah! You can teleport, too?!"

"N-Not....Not well." He huffed. Eventually he caught his breath and gave me a quick once over. "What's wrong? You looked exhausted. And pissed off."

"Creeps, Bones, and Endie got taken and H wouldn't let me help save them." I huffed, but put a pin in it. "He told me to ask you to help us move houses as soon as possible."

"Oh dear, do we know who it was this time?" I rose an eyebrow and he rolled his eyes. "Yes, this happens a lot. Here, lean into me and we'll head for the office."

"I don't know for sure, but they had a deal that they could keep the trio if the handed me over to whoever was hunting me."

"I swear you five are always in trouble. One of these days I'm just going to lock you all up here." Notch mumbled.

"And how did that work out last time?" I deadpanned and he scoffed, looking offended.

"Ow!"

I shrugged and we continued our walk in silence. Eventually we made it to only the living room and I sighed. "Just leave me here. I'm not much help right now anyway." He gave me a worried look and I managed a smile. "Don't worry about me. I need to rest incase I need to go after them anyway." He gave in and set me down on the couch, telling me to yell if I need anything before rushing off.

As soon as I hit the cushion, I knew I wouldn't be awake for long. I yelled for Notch to wake me at midnight and flopped over the couch. Listening to his footsteps disappear down the hall, I melted into the couch.

"This is BS."

Even when I'm technically capable of saving them, I still can't. Even though they've done so much for me. I can feel my body slowly forcing me to go to sleep, but I don't want to. What is I over sleep and miss midnight? What if I'm ready sooner than midnight? If I wait too long they might leave that camp if H gets caught.

And despite all this worrying, I can barely keep my eyes open. If anything, it's making it worse. I might as well give in, but I swear: If I wake up and H isn't back, I'm never letting him take care of anything alone again.
