Just A Little Panicked

Crap-Crap-Crap- This is bad, this is bad, This is very very bad!

How did I lose Anna?! I know I fell asleep but she was sleeping, too! I wasn't asleep that long, it's only been a few hours at most! I checked the End, Nether, and Overworld by all the portals; She wasn't at home, she wasn't at Ed's, and Notch clearly couldn't sense her in his house. That last one either means she isn't there or she got lost enough to be in the outer parts of the house. I can't tell if that's better or wor-

"Hey, Brine." I felt my non-existant heart drop before I realized it was just Bones. "Wow, someone's jumpy."

"Yeah. You are. What did you do?" Creeps asked, suspiciously.

"First off, like you two can talk." They cringed. I saw that they had fixed the backyard during my search but it's only a matter of time before Wither outs them. "Second off, I didn't do anything."

"Than why are you so freaked out?" I can't be that easy to read. I looked between Bones and Creeps before teleporting them both outside with me. "I don't know where Anna is."

"You lost Anna?!" Creeps exclaimed. I quickly covered her mouth, Bones and I looking back towards the house to make sure Endie wasn't coming. I let go and she continued. "How did you lose her?! You can teleport!" She whisper-yelled.

"If I could would I be searching for her?!" To prove a point, I tried again. A few seconds later I popped up right back were I was standing before them.

"This is bad. Endie got a new mortal friend and she's already missing." Bones sighed.

"Rub it in why don't you?" I growled.

I already know I'm screwed if I don't find her. Not only will I anger him, but I really don't want to see depressed Endie again. This always happens: he finally gets comfortable with a person other than the three of us and something bad happens that ends it. Either they die, or go missing, or do something bad and ruin the friendship (which is death anyway, usually from me). Granted, she's been around a lot longer for him than the others, but I want this to last longer. ...Fine, I may want her around a little longer for myself, but still! I need to get her back before Endie wakes up.

"Uh, guys?" We looked at Creeps. That's not a comforting look. "She was at Notch's, right? What if Wither took her?"

"What do you mean? He's never even met her before, why would he take her?" Bones asked. Creeps pouted and looked away from us.

"To get back at us." That is a very good point. Still, I shook my head.

"Wither got lost at Notch's to the point where he and Ed had to go find him. Anna stayed in the living room with me and we even both fell asleep." I glanced back up at the sky. It'll be sunset soon. "I wasn't asleep that long but she was gone when they came in and I woke up."

"Hmm... But I can't think of any other reason you wouldn't be able to teleport to her." Creeps hummed.

"I can, but I don't want to think about it." I mumbled. She can't be dead. This is a woman who survived crooked, completely leveled cities. She grew up in a mercenary family and was able to kill someone in seconds. I'll bet my own life that she'd kick the ass of anyone who tried. "Ignoring that I can't teleport to her, let's focus on where she could be."

"The living room isn't all that far from the portal room. She might have tried heading back here but decided to explore one of the other portals instead." Bones offered. I wouldn't put it past her.

"Then to check the other realms it is."

"Me and Bones will go check the End. You go check the Nether." I smirked.

"What? Don't feel like running into your best friend?" Creeps huffed and Bones laughed. I don't remember when it started but Creeps and Wither very rarely get along. "Anyway, fine. If you find her, just come back here. If my teleportation really is messing up, I'd rather not find out looking for all three of you."

We walked down to the basement through the brand new trap door in the back yard (they ran out of gravel) and into the portal room. I walked through the quartz portal into Notch's realm then straight through the Nether portal. Popping up in Withe's house, I scared the crap out of him when I ran upstairs.

"The hell are you doing here?" He growled. Nope. Still pissed. I chuckled awkwardly.

"You wouldn't happen to have seen Anna in here, right? Short, brown hair, adorable?" He rose an unamused eyebrow.

"Brine. You can teleport to her. Leave and go do that." Why does everyone have to keep reminding me of that?! She owes me so much for today!

Anna's POV

For someone with access to any resources he wants, Wither has garbage locks. Though it did break my hairpin so I'll give it that. I walked back down the hall, taking the time to look into the cells down here. There's only four, so I'm guessing he doesn't just kidnap people on the regs. I walked to the door on the other side of the hall and found a staircase behind it. The farther up I went, the more I heard talking. Is that Herobrine?
