"You need to tell the others."
"No I don't. This is barely my problem."
"Last time it wasn't your problem, three of us had a fight in an End base." Brine huffed, pushing another mundane potion my way. He sipped on his own but I'm pretty sure this is a bribe to tell them now. "Face it, Ann, your problems are our problems, whether you like it or not."
"And vice versa?" I pouted.
"Yes, and vice versa. How many times do I have to apologies for that?"
"As long as it took you to find me." I giggled, begrudgingly. He held back a laugh but couldn't hold back the smile.
I don't like it but he has a point. If my brother going missing and Wither kidnapping me has taught me anything, it's that all our problems usually drag everyone else in the house into them. That and if Wither taking me was a minor issue, I'm afraid of what their major issues are.
We heard groans and yawns from the living room as the trio began waking up. I took a sip of my mundane potion when I met eyes with Brine. He gave me a look. I gave him a glare. He narrowed his eyes and smirked. My glare grew colder.
"Don't you dare." I whispered.
"Their going to find out anyway." He, thankfully whispered back.
"Yeah, when I'm not seven numbness potions deep and ready to tell them." He scoffed under his breath.
"So never?"
"Hey, have more faith then that-"
"What are you two whispering about?" Creeps asked, groggily. We both jumped back, not even Brine noticed her come in. The guys lazily followed and Endie took a single glance at us before sighing.
"It can wait." Oof. Someones had a rough day. I raised an eyebrow and patted the seat beside me, making Creeps chuckle. He dragged himself over and lied across the table, using my arm as a headrest.
"You okay?" I hummed, sliding over a few bottles of mundane potion. All three took one, Creeps and Bones groaning in annoyance.
"Someone got to the ravine we found and stripped it of ore before we could get to it." Creeps answered. How the heck??
"But didn't you just find it? It was only last night." I asked.
"Yep, and it was still cleaned when we got there. We even saw the group leaving when we got there, bragging about their stupid luck." Creeps grumbled, bitterly.
"So- where have you been all day?" Brine asked.
"Searching for any good caves. We're running low on iron and already planned to be mining all day." Bones shrugged. "Even if we did spend most of it searching aboveground."
"Sounds exhausting." I answered, flatly. I don't have a lot of experience mining or doing anything survival wise. I didn't have to until I left home and even then, it was rare and I hated mining.
Endie nodded against my arm and I sighed. I was planning on cooking but Brine distracted me, now it's already night. So, I guess we're getting take-out tonight.
"Come on, H." Hearing his nickname again, he quickly looked at me and smiled. I giggled and gently moved Endie's head so he wouldn't hit the table. "Let's go pick up dinner from somewhere nice." The trio practically melted at the thought. "Any city is good."
"I'm tired, too, you know." Despite that, he was already at me side.
"Your also the one who distracted me from making dinner."
"...Touche." He mumbled and held out his arm. "Be right back." I'm guessing he already has something in mind. I took his arm and we teleported away, popping up in the treeline, just outside the familiar city.
"So is this to prove a point, or are we just playing chicken with them now?" He asked, slipping on his shades. I still don't get how they hide the glow of his eyes so well, even in this darkness. A mob boss thing, maybe?
"Yes and no." I hummed. I took his hand and dragged him out of the treeline and towards the city. "Evangeline and I have a complicated relationship and an agreement she wouldn't break unless things between her and my brothers are especially bad. Believe it or not, we aren't there yet." I answered, bluntly. "Besides, you picked a city they don't come to often." He looked surprised I answered at all and I avoided his gaze.
"Is Evangeline the one your brother-"
"Yep, idiot that he is."
"Wow.... so when you say relationship-"
"Endie said it can wait." I answered, smugly. He scoffed but didn't press it any further. "So, what do you want to eat?"
