Notch's couch is the least comfortable thing I've ever woken up on. And I woke up on a dungeon floor last time.

"Beggers can't be choosers, Anna." I heard a familiar voice say flatly.

"How do you own every material imaginable and still have an uncomfortable couch?" I groaned, lying my arm over my eyes.

"Blame your fire-breathing boyfriend."
"I said I was sorry!"
"Sorry doesn't bring my couch back."

"Eddy?" I mumbled, sitting up to look around. He chuckled and in seconds, he was sitting right beside me. I immediately just lied back down with a new lap pillow. "What time is it?"

"1am-" I immediately sat up, my head feeling light and making me dizzy all over again. "Woah, woah, woah; Calm down, Anna. Their back. Everyone is safe. Wither is patching them up now and the only thing broken is their patience. None of them are too pleased they couldn't stay to finish the job."

"Lay back down, Ann. You still look exhausted." Ed hummed. He gently pushed my head back onto his lap and I let him.

"He's right. The others will be fine while you keep resting. I'm afraid there won't be a lot of time for that tomorrow." Notch sighed, an almost empty mundane potion in hand. "We're going to need to move you guys' house ASAP and we're going to need everyone to do it."

"Not everyone." Ed muttered, bitterly. I frowned and took his hand from my forehead, squeezing it gently. He looked down at me and let out a breath. "I know, I know. But I'll be here for moral support. And lifting, that too."

"And who said I need any help lifting?" I scoffed, quietly. He smirked and raised an eyebrow.

"Ok, fine. I'll accept that your a little more deadly than I expected but I'll be damned if you can carry more than an actual dragon."

"That sounds like a challenge to me." I snickered. I turned back to Notch and frowned. "I'm still lightheaded. Shouldn't that be gone by now?"

"Well, for any normal person, yes, but recently you've been getting less and less sleep, so I imagine your body is taking it a little harder. Nothing a good night's rest can't help."

"It's already 1am and my friends are injured."

"That, is what he's here for."

"So it wasn't just to see me?" I asked, jokingly pouting. Ed rolled his eyes but smiled down at me.

"Well of course there's that, too, but you need sleep." He answered. "Besides, I heard from Brine that you scared the crap out of some loser and I want to know more."

"Pft-" I blurted out a laugh before covering my mouth and turning over so he couldn't see me. "My god, I completely forgot about that..."

"So, did the mob boss really come out of you?" Notch asked, smugly.

"No! What did Brine tell you two?!"

"I was joking, I was joking." He laughed. "But from that look you gave us, I might have gotten it right."

"In my defense, he almost shot me in the face."

"And in his, you shot him in the leg for it."

"I could have done worse." I grumbled.

"Okay, you two. It's late enough." Ed hummed. I rose a brow as he scooped me up from the couch, giving him a quick once over. He's... in a lot better of a mood than I expected him to be.

"That's because your around." Notch snickered. "Anyway, he has a point. Be back by late morning."

"Got it."

'Back' by late morning? Ed left the room with me and I didn't really know where we were going. This place is huge and I only really know where the kitchen and portals are.

"Were are we going?"

"My room. If I'm going to be stuck around him, the least I can do is feel comfortable." I stand corrected. Reaching up, I held the side of his face and he stopped in his tracks. He looked down at me and I gave him a reassuring smile.

"You know you don't have to stay if you don't want to, right? An hour or two is one thing, but switching houses might take all day, maybe two." He stayed silent but it wasn't for long, continuing his walking.

"I know, but if it's for you, I'll do it. Besides, It's not like I completely despise him. It's just... hard. Every time I look at him I'm reminded that I'm trapped here." He explained. "But with you, it's a little easier. You and Endie are like the little bits of the outside world. If I needed you, you'd be there. So here I am doing the same."

"And don't think I don't appreciate it." I giggled. "As soon as this is over, it's just you, me, and the best End cake you've ever eaten." Ed chuckled, tiredly fidgeting with a door till I reached over and helped him.

"I can't wait. But first: sleep."
