Wow.
I had expected it to be huge like Ed's but Notch's house felt bigger. As if I knew that it was possible to get completely lost in here. Quartz and spruce covered the place in walls, floors, doors, or shelves. Plants grew in almost every corner and pictures lined the walls in some of the halls we passed. It felt elegant but homey at the same time and I'm not too sure how.
"This place is huge." I mumbled and heard H let out a chuckle.
"Yeah. It feels a lot better once you get use to it, but not by much. We all still get lost."
"Even Notch?"
"Especially Notch."
"Than why have it so big?""No idea. I think he's just gloating to the rest of us. He keeps adding rooms and levels but always loses the specifics and maps to them. Now he really just stays on the ground floor."
"How many rooms can you even think up?"
"Anna, you sound like us already." He sighed but smiled. "Apparently infinite. Multiple kitchens, bedrooms, closets, and storage; You name it and Notch has probably got it."
"I don't have a theatre yet." I turned to see Notch himself. It's pretty hard to forget a face like his when Cobble Rock had it's own little cult about him. I wasn't in it but it was hard to avoid. I smiled, nervously. "So your the woman everyone's so obsessed with?"
"I wouldn't say obsessed." I mumbled.
"You've got a dragon, a phantom, and an immortal enderman-hybrid completely sworn to protect you. I'd say their pretty obsessed."
"More like over-protective."
"Hey! I am not either of those.""Because your the one who put me in these situations in the first place." Hero paused before huffing in defeat. Pft, pouting phantom. I rummage through my bag and handed him a Fire Cake-Pop. There was barely a second before he snatched it and popped it into his mouth.
"Touche. You made more?" He mumbled with a full mouth and Notch rolled his eyes. We made it to a nice-looking living room and I sat down beside H, still not use to the new area.
"Of course. Leverage is leverage, H."
"Hah! I like her already." Notch laughed and leaned over in his own chair. "So, tell me about yourself."
"There isn't much to tell."
"Like hell there isn't." Brine mumbled."Oh really? Brine?"
"Anna is an adorable baker who just so happens to have a mafia-style family and a dragon boyfriend.-"
"He's not my boyfriend."
"-She's got guilt issues like no one's ever seen and, despite the cute face, can absolutely kill a person before they even blink. But she won't."
"Herobrine." His eyes widened a bit and he teleported onto the next couch over. I sighed. I need a mundane potion already and the other's aren't even here yet! "Too much information."
"He'd figure it out anyway. He can hear the thoughts of anyone in the building; If not now, he'd find out eventually." I shot him a glare but left it at that. As if to prove his point, I felt a nudge and looked over to see Notch beside me, holding out a cold mundane potion. He gave me an apologetic look and I hated it. I'd much rather ignore the last few months like they never happened.
"We'll talk about it later." He said as I took the potion from him. "But for now, there's more over in that chest if you need it."
"Heh. Did H tell you about that?" I chuckled. Hearing his nickname, Brine teleported back to my side.
"Nope. My brother is just a hypocrite. He chugs down those things like no ones business to forget what he really does all day." He answered, relaxing into the couch. I half expect him to fall asleep again.
"Ignore him, he's just nervous." Notch snickered. "You should have seen it coming, Brine. Creeps and Wither have been at each other's throats for months now."
"Hm? Why's that?" I asked. Before I got my answer, we all turned to the open doorway as loud footsteps came from the hallway. Seconds later, Ed storms in, ticked.
"Notch, Withe is being a-" He spotted me and beamed, his tail still out and now wagging. I couldn't help giggling, he's gone from terrifying to cute! Issue forgiven or forgotten, he came over and jumped the couch, cutting between me and Notch and hugged me tightly. "Anna? What are you doing here?"
"H invited me to come. Apparently, Notch wanted to meet me." I laughed. He turned to Notch.
"Why's that?"
"To see this." Ed frowned and calmed down but hugged me a little tighter. "Plus, I heard what happened in the end. Figured I'd check on her, maybe get a new drinking buddy." He held up his own mundane potion and I smiled, holding up my own.
"Gladly." Ed rose an eyebrow to us both and turned to Brine.
"Ok, why's she upset?"
"Hah!" Brine broke into laughter and I pouted, still sipping my drink. Ed noticed my pouting and smirked.
"I am not that obvious."
"You really are, hun."
"Grr.""Your so cute when your annoyed.~" He nuzzled into my head smugly. I really do hate them sometimes.
For a while, I mostly just listened to them talk. I'm fine simply being around the three of them and hearing Ed complain about Wither complaining to him since he couldn't find H. Needless to say, he was snickering the entire time. You just wait, phantom.
...
Wait a while, apparently. After a while we all collectively noticed Wither hadn't come in. We waited a little longer but he was a no-show. I turned to H.
"Do you think he's ok?" I asked, worried despite still never meeting him. "You did say he was coming, right?"
"Yeah, I did." He mumbled and patted my head slightly. "Don't worry. He probably ran from the raging dragon and got lost."
"Ok..."
"That being said," Notch stood up and looked to Ed, unamused. "Your coming to help me search." He scoffed and I giggled at the pouting dragon. He let go of me and begrudgingly got up from the couch.
"Fiine. His fault for provoking me anyway."
"I know, I know. And his answer is going to be the exact same. 'It's his fault for chasing me!' I swear I made toddlers instead of Boss mobs." Me and Brine watched as the annoyed god continued complaining as they left the room. We could still hear him down the hallway.
"... Brine. Your friends worry me." He chuckled, popping onto the other couch so he could lay down. Probably to sleep again.
"Their yours now, too, Ann. Good luck."
