A Price to Pay

Previously, Harold tried to cause havoc on Adventure Bay using his superpower to make giant robots. His plan was soon foiled by one super dog. That same super dog that remembers his goals. To find that person once more. 

Bolt POV

How could I forget about her? She needs me more than anything ever since what Callahan did. I had no idea where to go now ever since what happened with our map. 

Bolt: Can you help us now?

Ryder: Yeah about that...

I stand here with everyone facing Ryder as well.

???: HEY!

We all look at where the voice came from and it was Goodway, actually Mayor Goodway from what I heard from the pups.

Mayor Goodway: You can fix all of that right?! 

Ryder assure the Mayor that they had it all under control. The Mayor left with a chicken in her purse in which he or she just cluck at us.

Ryder: Before we can help you with anything. We have to fix the bridge up and make sure no one got hurt during it.

Everyone got back on their vehicles and left. Leaving behind Ryder who just got on his ATV and was about to leave, but then he saw us. 

Ryder: Right...hop on.

We all hop on and hold tightly on the ATV. As we make our way to the lookout, I noticed that Ryder was thinking about something and then look back at me. Was he thinking about me? We arrive a minute later at the lookout in which he dropped us off. 

Ryder: Actually, I want to talk to you privately Bolt after this is finished.

He drove inside the lookout and change pretty quickly into what looked like an iron man type of suit.  

Ryder: As of right now, stay right here. In the meantime, get something to eat and watch some TV.

He heads off, and as soon as he left, Rhino left.

Rhino: I hope that they have "Avengers: Endgame" on their TV.

All it is left is Mittens, and me. 

Mittens: Well. You have definitely changed. Do you still want to get to...Penny?

I had been through a lot right now, but I am certain of one thing.

Bolt: I want to get to Penny.

We waited for a good hour or two. During that time, we watch with Rhino the movie that he was watching until the very end. Another hour later, the movie was finished. Welp that was a good movie. The pups and Ryder finally arrived.

Mittens: Finally! What took-?! Wait, I forgot. Sorry.

The pups were confused at first, but they understand a moment later. Ryder wasn't here yet.

Bolt: Um? Where's Ryder?

Skye: Paying the fees.

Mittens: Ehh?

Marshall: We needed a lot of materials for the Bridge. We didn't have any on hand, well paws.

Rhino: I always wonder about that for superheroes. The amount of damage they have to pay, along with the construction. It must be a super lot, right?

The pups all nodded. I really need to control my powers. While the pups were getting undressed. Rhino, Mittens, and I pick another movie. We pick this random movie called "Spiderman: No Way Home" which is like the other movie from earlier. During the middle part of the movie I heard an vehicle approaching. I look back and saw Ryder entering the lookout. Ryder motion me to come with him.  We took the elevator to the top of the lookout. Once we got to the top, he motion me to sit down so I did. He got a chair and sat down as well. 

Ryder: You can't leave. 

Bolt: WHAT WHY?! Are you working with callahan too?!

Ryder: Calla who and no! I don't know who that person is and let me explain okay?

I guess I jump to conclusion a bit to early. Maybe I should just stop and think about this.

Bolt: Alright, I'm sorry. So what did you want to talk about?

Ryder: Your powers. From what am I seeing so far, you can't really control your power well. On top of that, I can't extract the power in you unlike the pups. From what I remember, you ate it the meteor on accident right?

I nodded and it did not taste good.

Ryder: That is why I want you to stay and train. From what I seen and heard. You have super speed, a super bark, and that's about it. It's not usual to see more powers in a pup, well dog for you. Do you have any more powers?

Bolt: Well...I have lazer vision, heat vision, and super strength. That's all I have.

Ryder: Oh boy, this might be trickier than I thought. Okay, we can have Chase and Rubble to train you. 

Bolt: Why them?

Ryder: Well for one, Chase has two powers similar to yours and Rubble has super strength. For the other two, I might have Chase take a look at it and try to find a way to assist you. That reminds me...who is Callahan?

Bolt: Well...it's a long story. To make it short, Callahan is a bad guy like the one you faced with the robots. Callahan took something of mines and I want get her back.

Ryder: Her?

I can hear Ryder under his breath in which she is talking about Penny.

Bolt: Yes her, Penny. Penny is my owner. I've been trying to find her with the help of my friend and rival.

Ryder: Rival?

Bolt: Yes Rival. The cat is my rival. She is the right-hand man of Callahan. That cat will lead me towards Penny. 

Ryder: Are you sure? If anything, she is trying to help you. As a friend. She cares about you in which you care about her. I was talking to her a bit, while we were trying to find you. Is she really a bad guy?

Bolt: Well...no.

I don't know what to say about her honestly. Maybe she isn't as bad as I thought. Then again, she looks different then the last time we met. 

Ryder: Well putting that aside, stay okay. For all I know, you can be dangerous without knowing how to properly use your superpowers. 

Bolt: *sigh* Alright.

I more worried about Penny. I hope that she is doing well. I just have to get to the waffle with the sunglasses. I better tell the others.
