Kamukura was easy at reading everyone. Komaeda was no different.

But... there was a part of him that Kamukura couldn't figure out.

He understood Komaeda's beliefs perfectly, but... why did he worry?

Kamukura had never worried about anyone his whole life. He was made to do the things people told him to. Komaeda never told him to do anything, so why was Kamukura even with him right now?

"Kamukura-kun, are you okay?" Komaeda tilted his head.

"I am always 'okay'."

"Always? Hm... I think I heard you say something like that before."

"So?"

"Always just being 'okay'... isn't that kind of boring sometimes?"

"I am always bored." That was a lie. He wasn't bored when he was around Komaeda.

"Exactly! Then, why don't I help you have fun? I want to make you feel joy!"

"Joy..?"

"Mhm!" Komaeda grabbed his hand. Of course, Kamukura saw the way he hesitated slightly before.

He lead Kamukura to an ice cream Café.

"Alright boys, what can I get you?" The man behind the counter asked.

"I'll take chocolate, please." Komaeda said.

"I will as well." The cashier nodded and quickly gave them their orders. The both of them sat down on a bench nearby.

"Are you enjoying yourself yet, Kamukura-kun?"

"It is the same as always."

"Aw, I'm useless..."

"You are not."

Komaeda sighed, finishing his cone.

Kamukura was already done.

Komaeda spent the rest of the day trying to find fun activities

Kamukura would enjoy.
He was on his way to drag Kamukura over to the arcade, when it began to rain.

"Oh jeez... Of course this had to happen." Komaeda pouted.

This time, Kamukura grabbed Komaeda's hand and dragged him away.

They took shelter in a small house for kids on a playground.

"Why would we go here of all places? It's just a bit of rain." Komaeda looked around. He was shivering.

Without thinking, Kamukura took off his jacket and placed it on Komaeda's shoulders.

"You need a jacket too." Komaeda wanted to take it off, but Kamukura held his hands in place.

Komaeda looked away, sighing.

The rain kept pouring for a while. Eventually, Komaeda fell asleep.

He fell forward and landed on Kamukura's chest. The other wrapped his arms around him, as if it was an instinct.

Then, an image flashed before his eyes.

Komaeda was laying his head on someone's chest, sleeping. The other had wrapped his arms around him, stroking his hair.

After a second, the image was gone again.

"Odd..."

Apparently Komaeda wasn't a heavy sleeper, because that was enough to wake him up.

"A-apologies!" He stuttered, pushing himself away from Kamukura.
"Someone like me doesn't have the right to-"

"Calm yourself." Komaeda immediately sat up straight.

"Y-yes!" Kamukura couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

Wait... what?

"I did it! I made you feel joy!" Komaeda wrapped his arms around Kamukura, grinning.

The other just sighed.

"This is boring."
