You eyes pried open to be greeted with a small quiet room. Your eyes adjusted to the light before you decided to start moving your head. Your head fell left to see the commander asleep in a chair. A small Weak smile appeared on your lips before a sharp pain shot down your spine.
"Ow fuck! Shit!" You hissed as you slowly propped yourself up leaned against the headrest and pillows. The commander eyes shot open and he stood from his chair running a few feet to your aid.
"Don't move too much." He spoke calmly as he placed his hand gently on n your shoulder. "We thought we had for sure lost you" he spoke quietly
"What about the female titan? Did you guys catch her?" You asked averting your attention to the commanders facial expression. He looked down at the bed and sigh shaking his head.
"I have reason to believe it's someone among the graduating group of 104th cadet corps." He mumbled softly.
"What?! Who?" You lowered your brows at his statement.
"That I don't have an answer for yet." He responded as he rubbed your shoulder. "Enough of that right now, how does your head feel? Do you need me to call the nurse?" He started bombarding you with questions.
"No no I'm okay" you insisted as you placed your hand on top of his. Just then the door opened and captain Levi walked in. His face looked even more absent than normal.
"Erwin, Shadis and Nile asked for a meeting in your office." He spoke monotoned as he leaned against the doorframe slightly. Erwin looked at Levi and nodded before turning back to look at you.
"I will be back the minute it's over" he smiled as he removed his hand from your shoulder and turned to leave through the door. Levi watched Erwin walk out before he turned his attention towards you.
"The commander has not left your side since your nasty fall. You have that man wrapped around your finger, Cadet." Levi mumbled before leaving the room. You sat there processing what captain Levi had said before leaving. Commander Erwin, wrapped around your finger?
After a short while, a knock came from the door and it opened slowly emerging Reiner. Once he had seen you were awake, he smiled.
"You're awake! How are you feeling?" He spoke as he approached your bed and seated himself on the edge. You scooter over slowly to give him room. "No need to move over" he assured you as he chuckled.
"What are you doing here?" You asked with a smile.
"What I can't check on you?" He scoffed. "Every time I came in here to check on you, the commander was in that chair refusing to leave your side." He spoke as he pointed to the now empty chair. "Would've been weird to stand here in silence with the commander. So I never stayed"
"Well I appreciate it a lot" you smiled as he leaned against his shoulder.
"I heard your fall was nasty" he scoffed. "Sad I missed it"
"You ass!" You laughed as you socked his arm.
"I'm kidding! Geez YN!" He shook his head laughing. "On a real note, I'm so glad you're okay"
"How long have I been trapped here?" You asked
"Maybe like 4-5 days" you shrugged your shoulders.
"How long am I stuck here?"
"The nurse said until you start walking" he spoke as he turned his head to look at you.
"Well then let's go" you huffed as you urged yourself to the edge of the bed slowly.
"Woah woah what are you doing?" Reiner spoke off guard as he stood up already assisting you.
"I'm gonna start walking so I can get the fuck out of here" you responded. Your door opened and in came the commander whose eyes widen at the sight of you trying to stand.
"Jesus cadet, what are you trying to do!?" The commander spat as he rushed to help Reiner assist you.
"I wanna get out of here?" You huffed "I don't like hospitals and needles and rooms like this" you groaned. Commander Erwin turned his head to face Reiner.
"Thank you cadet, but I got it from here." He spoke softly as a way of telling Reiner to leave. Reiner looked at you and smiled gently.
"Well I'm glad you're up and you're okay" he smiled and nodded lightly before hand off your hand to the commanders before turning around to leave. "I'll see you later, be careful"
"Thank you for stopping by Reiner." You smiled as you watched him leave the room. After the door closed, your eyes fell back onto the Commander in front of you.
"A little birdy told me you hadn't left my side since my fall" you spoke gently as you saw a small blush appear on his cheeks. He rubbed the back of his neck.
"I have to make sure my cadets are getting the best care they need" he spoke confidently. "I do this for all my scouts" you raised your eyes brows.
"Oh really?" You asked at his comment.
"No are you crazy? Id be in here all the time if that was the case" he huffed with a smile as he watched you slowly attempt to rise to your feet. "You had me scared half to death" he admitted lowering his voice in worry.
"Well I can ensure you the plan was not to get swatted off a branch by the female titan" you spoke as you grabbed the commanders hand as you went to take your first walk.
"I was so relieved to see you up on that branch" he smiled, his blue eyes staring down at you. You smiled in return as you took a few steps with very little pain. Of course it was still there but faint. A nurse walked by your room seeing you walk through the door.
"Well look at you!" The nurse exclaimed all gitty. "Someone's eager to go home!" She laughed.
"Yes very, I've been here long enough" you protested as the commander let go of your hand and you steadied yourself. The nurses eyes suddenly landed on the commander and her eyes lit up.
"Oh commander! Good morning! So kind of you to be helping out your helpless scouts. You are such an honorable man, we owe you so much" she got all gushy and red as she eased her way into your room.
"Thank you Clara." Commander Erwin responded not wanting to be rude.
You eyes looked annoyed as the nurse continued her flirting with the commander yet he didn't seem interested at all.
"We need more handsome commanders like you" the nurse protested. "More hunks like you walking around here with their cadets would make this job a dream"
"I'm sorry to break your little flirting moment, but can we just get me checked out so I can get out of here?" You interrupted as your annoyed face looked at the nurse. Who completely ignored your question which seemed to infuriate the commander.
"I will not tolerate the ignorance you carry on your shoulders. Get her checked out as soon as possible so she can be discharged." He ordered sternly. The nurse seemed taken back by his sudden change of aggression.
"O-oh...." She spoke as she glanced at him and then at you multiple times. "I see..... I'll go grab the doctor for you." She spat lightly as she send the commander a fake smile before looking at you disgusted. She left the room quickly.
"Yikes, this happen often?" You huffed.
"Oh all the time but I have not had one ignore the presence of the cadet I'm with. It just inappropriate and very disrespectful." He growled lowly.
"I don't think you go out on a limb for all your cadets now do you?" You sent him a smirk as you nudged his arm.
"Very little but for you, I'll make the exception" you smiled in return just as the doctor walked in.
"Let's go ahead and get you checked out so you can get out of here!" The doctor smiled sweetly. "Evening commander" the doctor sent him a nod before turning her attention back to you. "Alright!..."
