Chapter 20. Hair

You stirred awake to stare around in an unfamiliar room. It took you a few moments to realize you were in Erwin's room, again. As well as wearing one of his shirts and in your underwear. You smile crept on your lips as you began to remember last night. Erwin told you, he loved you. Every time you thought of it, butterflies were doing somersaults in your stomach. You turned to where Erwin would have been but you were greeted with an empty bed. He was a busy man so you couldn't expect him to entirely drop everything. Well he was. He was going to but Zachary kept him as commander.

You stood up out of the bed and decided you were going to make your way to the bathroom to shower before either trying to find Erwin or make your way to the mess hall. After your shower, you went to your own room to change into some fresh clothes for the day. On the way out of your room, you happen to run into your crew. Sasha, Connie and Jean.

"Ahh there you are, smalls!" Connie screamed out as they approached you

"Good morning guys" you smiled as you sent a glance to each one. You all continued your way towards the mess hall that was already crowded with scouts. You stood in line for maybe 10 minutes until you got your food. Same for the guys except for Sasha. The mess hall ladies always had a hot plate prepared for Sasha the minute she enters. So Sasha claimed the table while you and the boys retrieved your own breakfast. While dodging groups of people, your eyes spotted Commander Erwin who was now making his way towards you. You felt your muscles tense and your heartbeat increase.

"Good morning sir!" Connie spoke catching him approaching you guys and saluted quickly. Erwin sent him a smile of acknowledgment before stopping directly in front of you and leaning in quickly to meet his lips against yours. You slightly jumped at the sudden impact but relaxed once your brain realized what was happening. You heard a audible gasp behind you, of course it was none other than Connie.

Erwin pulled back and breathed a chuckle as his eyes met yours. A smile was painted along your face.

"What are they gonna do? Remove me?" Erwin whispered jokingly in your ear before standing straight. "Good morning Springer and Kirstein" Erwin nodded turning his eyes back to you before kissing you forehead. He turned made his way back to the table that consisted of hange, Levi and Miche.

"Smalls, what the fuck?" Connie blurted our whole you all continued to walk to the table. At that point everyone was staring at you. You chuckled slightly as you slid into your seat.

"It all makes sense now." Sasha mumbled through her chews. "Mans launched himself at that cadet that night. For insulting you. I should've known!"

"Guys it's not that big of a deal." You smiled shaking your head.

"Not that big of a deal?!" Connie spoke shocked at your casual answer. "The fucking commander kissed you? And what the hell is Sasha talking about the commander rushing someone?"

"Later Connie, I'd like to eat. I'm starving" you huffed rolling your eyes. Connie turned to Jean who was laughing at him.

"Why the fuck aren't you tripping?" He paused. "Oh my god! You knew and you didn't tell me. You ass!" He finished in a hurt tone.

"Not my business to tell." Jean shrugged his shoulders taking a drink of his water.

After a short while of chit chatting and Connie trying to ask 29000 questions, a traumatized military policeman ran into the mess hall screaming with his head cut off.

"AN ABNORMAL TITAN AS BREECHED THE WALL. AND TITANS ARE COMING FROM AFAR." He screamed as the commander approached him and placed his hands in his shoulders.

"Soldier get ahold of yourself." Erwin spoke. "We'll take it from here" he patted his shoulder.

"Sir the abnormal is like nothing we've seen before. It's covered in hair." His voice trembled.
