The journey was a rough beginning. It took approximately 3 days to reach the water line. Two large boats greeted you all at the shore where you parted from your horses. A small group of the garrison regiment was brought along to return the horses. Bunch of pussies. First time beyond the walls and you could already see these guys pissing themselves just at the thought of being on their own.

Once boarded on the boats, Al the scouts were to asked to change into their casual clothes and discard their uniforms overboard.

"What a waste of uniforms." Jean scoffed as he walked over to the edge of the boat and tossed his bundle of clothes into the salty sea.

"I mean it's valid why we're doing it" you added as you watched Connie and Sasha Toss theirs. Sasha suddenly let out a curdling scream. You Connie and Jean jumped at the sudden outburst.

"Jesus christs Sasha what!!" Connie yelled at her placing his hands over his ears.

"I left some biscuit in my jacket!" She said almost in tears.

"And you're screaming because of that?" Jean huffed lowering his brows.

"Yes!!" Her voice cracked as she threw a hand over her mouth.

"Okay okay hey Sasha, how about this, I'll go ask around and see if anyone has a small snack for you, okay?" You spoke as you parted the top of her head. She nodded sniffling.

"Why do you feed to her insane obsession with food!?" Connie objected.

"Because it makes her happy, who are you to say she can't have something that makes her happy?" You cocked your head at Connie's question. He scratched the back of his neck as if he were stuck on what to say. "Exactly" you sassed. "Now if you'll excuse me" you nodded as you head towards the inner Deck of the boat. You passed numerous upset scouts who were of course stuck on shit talking this mission. Instead of speaking your mind, you kept your lips sealed. You spotted hange in the distance and immediately picked up the pace.

"Hey!!" Hange screeched the minute you planted yourself in front of her.

"You don't happen to have some bread in any of your pockets do you?" You chuckled at your question.

"Sasha?" Hanged cocked her head nodding. "That is the one object I do not have. But I do a sock full of rocks." She spoke pulling it out of her jacket pocket.

"Oh! I thought you were joking." You lowered your brows at the randomness of it. "Oh hange" you shook your head. "We'll have you seen Erwin or captain Levi?" You decided to ask her.

"They're in the lower deck" she smiled as she turned around to go mess with some of the scouts. "See ya!" She called back. You knew hange was just a different breed but she was oddly happy for a mission like this. You shook it off and found your way towards the lower deck where you were greeted with Levi on the stair case towards the lower deck. He was planted on one of the steps towards the lower deck more.

"Hey cap!" You spoke as you started to walk down the steps hand sliding down the rail towards him.

"What's up brat?" He asked turning his head to look up at you approaching. You stopped on the step he sat on and planted yourself next to him.

"You don't happen to have any snacks you could sacrifice?" You asked cocking your head to the side. He rolled his eyes and smirked.

"Fortunately, I do happen to have some tea biscuit" he breathed out, he reached into his pocket and tossed them into your lap.

"No way! You're a life saver!" You smiled widely catching the small paper bag.

"Its either give those to you and have a tame Braus or we'll have to refrain her from the mission because she's out of control." He sniled slightly.

"I'm not sure, I think feral Sasha would be a good asset to the mission" you laughed just at the thought of Sasha going rogue because she didn't have a snack. You both sat in a few moments of silence while Levi stared at his feet. "Have you seen Erwin?"

"He's down in the helmsman quarters" Levi spoke back to his monotoned voice and the smile faded. "I don't know what he's thinking. There's no chance of success. Especially since he has not transformed into the colossal."

"Just something we'll have to have faith in Erwin work." You spoke as your fingers flowed along the creases in the paper back you were still holding. Levi sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

"I-" he stopped himself and exhaled sharply. "I've got shit to do." He suddenly spoke standing up and turning walking up the stairs. You sat there baffled at his suddenly cold tone right before he departed.

"Ok" you mouthed as you helped yourself up and headed down the stairs a bit more but stopped.
In debate on wether to drop off the snack for Sasha first or go see Erwin. Stuck in thought, a voice drew you.

"Y/n?" Erwin spoke as he approached you. You snapped out of your thoughts and smiled once your eyes registered Erwin's presence.

"Hey I was just coming to look for you" you spoke a quiet tone. He approached you and stopped roughly a foot in front of you, bringing his hand up to your cheek plastering a smile on both your faces.

"Are you doing okay?" He asked his ocean orbs scanning every facial feature of yours. You nodded without verbal saying it.

"Are you sure we're ready to do this?" You asked placing your free hand onto of his that connected to your cheek. His breathing steadied and his eyes connected with yours as he tried to find a response. He inhaled and parted his lips to speak.

"Yes." Was all he said removing his hand from your face. "We cannot wait any longer or they will make a move on us when we are not ready."

"I-" you started but he continued talking knowing what were going to speak.

"It's now of never y/n" he huffed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm here, I'm back and I'm ready to rein hell on Marley." You looked down at your feet.

"Okay"

"Okay?" He questioned

"Yes Erwin, if you think we're ready, then okay. I'm with you. All the way." You smiled weakly. Except deep down you knew none of you were ready and what was about to happen was something that could've been avoided if you didn't feed his confidence. You stepped onto your tippy toes to plant a kiss on his cheek before turning and leaving to finally give Sasha her snack. Hopefully she hasn't gone rogue yet.

"Christ almighty y/n what the fuck took you so long? You stop to watch the birds?" Connie snapped once he saw you walking up. "Sasha is an animal right now. She's not 2 other scouts!"

"Sorry sorry, I'm here now!" You scurried to the upset Sasha and instant opened the paper bag bringing out a tea biscuit and shoving it in her mouth. Her body instantly relaxed and her eyes closed as she chewed slowly savoring the taste of food.

"Leave it to y/n to always come to the rescue." Jean laughed shaking his head. "What would we do without you?"
