The sun had shifted partly away from the horizon, flashing the orange, yellow and bright blue all across the sky concluding with the light pink clouds scattered amongst the sky. The living of Marley started to slowly crowd the empty streets, bringing life to the ongoing festivities. Erwin had left way before the sun even thought about poking up from the ground, so once again it was just you in an empty bed watching the sun peer through the large window of the "hotel" where tourists would stay when they visited Marley. The door quickly swung open startling the shit out of you which caused you to quickly sit up. A grumpy Captain Levi stepped inside closing the door with his foot. You grumbled and crossed your arms.
"Who's to say I wasn't changing and you just helped yourself in?" You huffed cocking your head to the side.
"You weren't so that's irrelevant." He spoke as he approached the bed reaching his hand holding a cup of tea towards you.
"Look I know you're supposed to keep an eye on me per Erwin's orders but you don't have to-" you started grabbing the cup from his hands and he quickly 'tch'ed.
"Also an irrelevant sentence- Good god cadet, take the tea and be grateful." He sighed taking a drink of his own cup staring at you expressionless.
"Okay shit. Thanks." You mumbled bringing the warm cup to the brim of your mouth taking a small sip. Your eyes broke to look at at the window while you lowered your cup into your lap. "He's gonna do it today isn't he?" He asked Levi indirectly. There was a few moments of silence until Levi's footsteps approaching your bed and it sunk indicating he sat in the edge.
"I believe that's his intention, not entirely sure." Levi finally spoke.
"Come on, yes or no? I'm tired of being kept out of the loop." You growled slightly dropping your shoulders.
"Y/n, I genuinely don't know. He stopped updating Hange and I the minute we set foot in this hell. Our only conversation was about me keeping you away from it." Levi spoke taking a sip of his tea once more. There was a long pause before Levi spoke again. "He found you didn't he?"
"Who?" You asked shipping your head to meet Levi's gaze.
"Reiner" Levi spoke bluntly.
"No, I haven't-" you started to mumble out.
"You suck at lying. He's not telling his command we're here. And I think I know why." Levi huffed meeting your stare once more.
"Please don't tell Erwin." You pleaded absolutely cringing at how desperate you sounded.
"It doesn't matter whether Erwin knows or not. His plans are set in stone." Levi concluded exhaling sharply standing up. "Have you forgot what he's done to us?
"No I haven't, but I...' your voice trailed off quickly knowing whatever words that were about to leave your mouth wouldn't help Levi understand it through your point. "Why did Erwin bring me if he didn't want me in close proximity of his idiotic plan?" You snapped "god he 'knew' Reiner or I would find each other....he followed me to follow Reiner-" You paused before quickly jumping out the bed slipping on your boots before pushing past Levi towards the door.
"Where the fuck are you going y/n? Get back here!" You heard Levi called out to you once you made it through the doorway. You picked up the pace running down the busy streets. Your eyes frantically scanned through all the people until in the very far distance your eyes fell onto Reiner with people who were also in uniform. Directly next to Reiner stood the beast himself, Zeke. Your eyes quickly adverted off to the side, Mere feet away off to the side was Erwin. Eye glued onto The group like a lion stalking his prey. That's as his plan. Just to transform right then and there, blow out Marleys most important soldiers. Then demolish the whole island. You slid to a stop and Your heart began to quicken at the very events you were about to endure.
Your eyes fluctuated between Reiner and Erwin multiple times before your eyes caught Erwin slowly taking steps to approach them. You gasped as your body thought quicker thank your mind causing you to bolt towards Reiner. You opened your mouth to scream for Reiner but nothing escaped, nothing but a croak. It felt like you had been running in place as you ever so slowly approached them. Your eyes snapped to see Erwin clutching a knife to his palm readying himself to grasp it tightly. Erwin had an odd look of determination and anger. A look you had never seen in him before. It almost frightened you. Your eyes watched as Erwin tightened his hand around the blade of the knife quickly sliding it through his palm.
"REINER!" Your voice let out a blood curdling echo which quickly caught his attention, along with the group that circled him. His eye fell on you as you were now feet away from him but they were pulled from you when he saw the lighting strikes wrap around Erwin. His face dropped and before the large flash of Erwin's transformation, you plunged yourself into Erwin pushing him back a few feet farther from Reiner. Erwin's eyes widened when he realized what was occurring but it was too late. His transformation had already begun. Everything went black and that was the last thing you could remember.

Your body came to, but you felt stuck. The sounds of screams and cries echoed your ringing ears. Your body was throbbing with pain. You couldn't move and it hurt to breathe. Your eyes peeled open from the debris that laid upon your face. You were met with the Smokey sky and the surrounding buildings crumbled. Your breathing increased as you started to panic. It was too late. It started and you couldn't stop it. Your eyes shifted side to side in hopes to get more of a view of what was happening. A dark figure covered the sky above you.
"Fucking Christ." They huffed as their eyes scanned your wounded body. Your eyes adjusted to the blur to be greeted with Levi. But he was wounded himself. He had a massive gash that started above his left eyebrow and trailed through his eye, down to his chin. Another deep cut along side his left cheekbone. Your eyes widened at his wounds but your body screamed to not attempt to talk. "Stop trying to move damn it." He hissed softly before he frantically looked around. Your eyes followed his stare to see Erwin's colossal titan in the short distance getting attacked by the Jaw titan and the cart titan. You're breathing trembled causing Levi to bring his attention back to you. "I don't know what happened to Reiner..." he spoke almost as if he read your mind.
"We have to get you outta here." He mumbled sliding his right arm under your neck and the other at your knees slowly attempting to lift you up. In doing so, your body shocked with pain causing you to let out a strained scream. Levi hesitated at the sound of your pain but knew he had to move you somewhere safe. "Christ I'm sorry y/n" Levi stopped abruptly in his tracks.
"Let me carry her." A Voice spoke in front of Levi. Your eyes shot to side to see an injured Reiner who wasn't healing himself..
