Your eyes slowly blinked themselves open as your eyes adjusted to the poorly lit room. You rolled your bottom onto the opposing side you woke up on. You slightly jumped to the body laying next to you. The toned back of the body rose and fell at the steady breathes he took. Your eyes wandered to the blonde messy hair that laid against the pillow. Erwin.
You adjusted the blanket over you feeling a bigger breeze than you were expecting. That was when you had realized you still had no clothes on. You gasped pulling the blanket tight against your body. Your gasp caused Erwin to stir. He turned to face you with his eyes squinting open.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." You spoke softly keeping the blanket over your chest as you sat up. A small sleepish smile crept upon his lips as he watched you blanket your body as if he didn't see it once last night. "I shouldn't be here, I should've left awhi-" you started to say as you started to throw your legs to the edge of the bed getting ready to retrieve your clothes but Erwin reached his hand out grabbing your wrist slightly tugging you back. Your head snapped to look at his very sleepy eyes.
"Would you relax?" His voice slightly rasped. A knock collided with the commanders door and you jumped quickly jumping into bed keeping yourself covered.
"Erwin." The voice called from the opposing side of the door.
"State your name!" Erwin called back out sitting up in the bed placing his hand on your thigh through the blanket in a reassuring manner. He stood up walking to his drawer to grab a pair of pants slipping them on quickly making his way to the door.
"It's hange!!!!!" She swung from the door as she opened it right as Erwin reached it causing him to jump back. "I was right!!! Oh he owes me!" She suddenly said. You clutched the blanket tighter to your body. Hange brushed passed Erwin quickly towards you.
"Hange please." Erwin huffed closing the door. "Would you not yell stuff like that across the halls please." He shook his head as he watched her bombard your space.
"We made a bet on who'd be the first to initiate 'this' again." She smirked sitting on the edge of the bed.
"We?" Erwin cocked a brow.
"Shorty, Miche, and I." She chuckled.
"You all knew?" You asked confused.
"Oh my god hun, if Erwin couldn't have made it more obvious." She scoffed sending a glance to Erwin show as rubbing the back of his neck.
"What do you mean?"
"Ohhh girl everyone has someone they spill their secrets with." She winked.
"And it wasn't you. You just happened to be eavesdropping when I was doing so." Erwin groaned as he rolled his eyes.
"Oops." She chuckled as you both watched Erwin walk into the bathroom locking the door and began turning on the shower. Hange brought her attention back to you. "Sooooo....."
"Please don't tell anyone else, I don't want Erwin to lose his job." You pleaded.
"Oh please girl. The only way Erwin'll lose his job is if he dies." Hange spoke cocking her head.
"I don't know what we're doing." You huffed lowering your eyes to your lap.
"And that's okay." Hange reassured. "You know Erwin has pushed away every other female that has ever showed interest in him away. So it baffles me why he's doing the opposite with you.... He must really like you" she started smirking.
"Oh stop being weird." You slightly chuckled and rolled your eyes. You both turned your heads to hear the shower turn off.
"Well that's my que." Hange smiled as she stood up from the bed. "You know with those job, everyone deserve to experience love at least once before things ever go south. Erwin needs to. And I wanna thank you for letting him get to experience that." You smiled at you once more before helping herself out of the room.
The door to the bathroom opener and Erwin stepped out towel around his neck and his pants back around his waist, his hair wet and messy. Your gaze met his and you instantly felt yourself smile but let it drop slightly.
"Erwin, what are we doing?" You asked quietly almost regretting it instantly. He exhaled gently as he walked up to you still in bed. He took a seat on the edge of the bed inches from you. His sleepy eyes looked into yours.
"I made a mistake. Cutting you off once Zachary game me my options. Because I knew for a fact I couldn't stay away. And I've thought so much more into it. 'This' with you...." He motioned his finger between himself and you. "I never wanted it to stop. And just seeing you from the sidelines drove me insane. And then when that incompetent scout started talking down on you. I couldn't just watch that. And I knew that the minute I did what I did. It was over...." He sighed and ran his hand down his face. "What I'm saying is...whatever we are doing, I want it all day. Every day. But only with you. Whatever you want to do with us is what we'll do."
"What about your job?" You asked softly.
"When the problem arises again, I'll deal with it. Zachary tends to stray from the scout regiment. Unless Nile Dok opens his obnoxiously large mouth. But like I said..." he paused bringing his hand under your chin to lift your head to look slightly up at him. "Problem for another time." He smiled.
"Okay" you whispered as your eyes entangled with his. "Who knows Erwin?"
"Just Hange, Miche and involuntarily Levi." he smiled as his eyes traveled in between your lips and eyes.
"Okay" you chuckled softly as you took the opportunity to lean in gently placing your lips against his soft ones. You felt his breathe hitch in between the kiss. He moved his hand to the back of your neck bringing you in carefully. Your hands laying against his bare chest, your fingers tracing his muscles. Before you both could fall too hard into it, he parted from you and reluctance fell onto his face hung.
"As much as I'd love to entangle myself with you, duty of being a commander calls." You huffed disappointed.
"I know....." you dropped your shoulders as your eyes fell to your lap. "Thank you... for everything, for last night. For just seeing something in me no one else does" you looked back up at him. He grinned ear to ear as he stood up and planted a kiss on your forehead before heading to his dresser to finish getting dressed so he could be on his way. You laid in bed just admiring him. Until he left, you took the Opportunity to dress yourself and try to make your way to your room to shower before joining your group at breakfast in the mess hall.
After showering in your own room and getting changed, you headed to the mess hall where you joined your table with your food.
"Good morning sunshine, you slept in." Connie spoke as you sat down.
"Not really, she's only like 20 mins later than she normally is." Jean corrected him.
"Sorry, I kind of just stood in the shower for awhile. I didn't wanna leave the warm water." You lied through your teeth as you took a bite of your food. Your eyes met Sasha's as she quietly chewed her food. She must've been still choked on what happened last night. You sent her a small smile and she returned a weak one.
"So what are we doing on our day off from training??? Thanks to you" Connie poked you from across the table.
"Something relaxing?" You smiled sheepishly.
"Yeah Connie, something not insanely tiring." Jean cocked his head.
"Something food related hopefully?" Sasha finally chimed in. You smiled at her response.
"What if we hit the town's festival they've got going down on the Main Street, we can just walk around and Sasha can experiment the food booths?" You suggested thinking into it.
"I think that's perfect! Well just have to let the captain know." Jean spoke almost terrified.
"Easy! Well tell Hange to tell the captain" you smirked as your eyes went to the hall where Levi and hange walked in. Levi looking annoyed as usually.
"Hange!" You called out waving her over.
