You arrived at the commanders door and knocked gently on the wood. There was a pause in between your knock and a voice erupting on the other side.
"Enter." The voice none other than Erwins. You opened the door slowly and Erwin raised his eyes to be greeted with you. A sly smile appeared on his face when he realized it was you but only moments later, his smile fell. Your smiled faded as you noticed his off set demeanor.
"Everything okay sir?" You asked slowly making your way to the open chair. He cleared his throat and placed his pen down.
"Yes and no." He responded shortly. "We have a little dilemma." He huffed as he leaned back in his chair grabbing his pen off the table and bringing it to his lips. "We found our leak within the scouts. We overheard them conversating." You furrowed your brows confused and then once you realized, you raised your brows back up eyes widening. No, Reiner.
"Do they know you were listening in?" You asked choking on your voice nervously. You remember Reiners words. If he found out you told anyone, you wouldn't like what happens next. You gulping waiting for his reply.
"Reiner Braun." He huffed dropping his shoulders. "And Bertholdt Hoover." Your eyes widened and your breathe hitched, Erwin noticed your change. "Look, I understand you are close with them, yes?"
"Well I- not anymore...." You lowered your head. "We had a disagreement awhile back and we haven't talked much since. He never once said anything to me if that's what you're implying." You exhaled sharply.
"I was not making any assumptions." Erwin raised his hands slightly. "It was just some questions as I was curious..." he paused. " they have a plan of action here soon. To take Eren Jaeger." Eren? What do they wants with Eren? The door busted open and on came Miche and Hange.
"Reiner, Bertholdt , Ymir, and Eren are all missing sir." Miche spoke suddenly. The commanders eyes said more than his body language did. He was stressed and now in a panic.
"They know we know. Round up the scouts and head for the forest outside the walls. They couldn't have gotten far!" Erwin commanded them standing up from his desk. Miche and hange take that as their cue and they bolt out of the office closing the door. Your turn your head to look at the distraught Erwin.
Erwin walks around his desk, heading for the door but he stops and turns to face you. His breathing heavy. He took a sudden step close to you and placed his hands on your cheeks cupping them. His eyes scanned your lips and your eyes before he pulled you in to meet his lips. His lips were warm, and his kiss was gentle. You wanted to so badly pull into the kiss more but you knew it was ending soon and there was a mission to be finished. He pulled back catching his breathe.
"Please be careful." He hummer with his thumbs caressing your cheeks. You smile weakly and nod placing your hand on top of his hand.
"You too." You responded breaking contact and taking a deep breathe before you let him bolt out of the office. You trailing not far behind him. Sasha and Connie had helped ready your horse so you were able to join in quickly. Within minutes, the scouts were exiting the safety of the walls and bolting at high speeds towards the large fairest far ahead.
"Stay alert and be on guard!" The commanders voice echoing from the front of the group.
"There!" Captain levi yelled his eyes forward spotting the armored titan running in the farther away from you. You nudged your horses side causing him to bolt faster approaching the front of the group. You caught Commander Erwin off guard when you sided next to him.
"Let me try to reason with him." You called out to him. His thick brows furrowed and he immediately shook his head.
"Let me try!" You spat back and instantly snapped your reins causing your horse to kick it into high gear heading straight for Reiner.
"No get back here! That is an order!" Commander Erwin yelled harshly but you fell into a determined vision to catch up to them. There were distant calls from behind you. Your horse started to slow so you took that opportunity to shoot your ODM gear latching onto the shoulder blade of the armored.
You launched yourself off your horse and your feet collided onto his shoulder.
"What are you doing here?" Bertholdt noticed you in between the crack in which Reiner made to protect them. Your eyes darted to a knocked out Eren strapped to Bertholdts back.
" are you insane?!" You spat quickly turning your gaze towards the face of the armored. "This is not okay!"
"I'm sorry but this is the only way." Bertholdt huffed.
"Only way?! Taking eren? You are fucked! And I'm not going anywhere until there's some explanation!" You pleaded your eyes staring directly at the armored. "Reiner please. There's gotta be another way." You insisted in a pushy tone.
"You're wasting your breathe." Bertholdt spoke lowering his head. "We don't want to do this. We have to."
"No you don't, that is bullshit. No one is forcing your to do shit. Listen. Just let me have Eren and you both and keep going."
"No." Bertholdt responded short and cold.
"Don't say I didn't warn you." Your voice cold and anger hidden in your throat. "You'll regret this Reiner and I hope it haunts you." You growled as you pulled out one of your swords readying yourself to give it your all.
Just then, Mikasa, Armin and Jean swung up quickly landing on the armoreds shoulder.
"NO COMMANDER!" A voice echoed the empty planes and your voice clogged up in your throat your body fmpw frozen. Your eyes shot behind you and you were greeted with horror. A titan had commanders arm tight in its teeth's grip, whisking him away.
"I said ADVANCE GOD DAMN IT!" The commander ordered from the jaw of the titan. Without hesitation, you shot your ODM gear latching onto the titan running with him shooting yourself your way.
"You ugly bastard, let him go!" You yelled as you swing from the ground up pulling your swords out heading directly for the nape. Your swords pierced the skin deep and the titan began to fall forward, releasing Erwins arm from its teeth. You shot yourself towards him grabbing him before he collided with the ground beneath you both. You found a spot away from the chaos to land carefully planting Erwin gently on the ground and instantly kneeling next to him.
He said no words as his eyes were fixated on the ground below him. His arm looked still in tact thank god but mangled liked a bitch and bleeding immensely. You ripped of your shirt quickly revealing your sports bra and that instantly shocked Erwin.
"What are you doing cadet?" He asked sternly.
"Respectful shut up sir." You hissed as you ripped the shirt to be able to wrap the majority of his arm. He winced slightly as you tightened the cloth. "You are not bleeding out on my watch. I may have disobeyed your orders but I could care less." You huffed tying the last knot. "I'm calling my horse and I'm taking you back." You ordered.
"No not until Eren is retrieved." He spat
"Oh you stubborn mother fucker. No. Let everyone else handle that. I. Am taking you back." You growled sternly letting him know you were not about to argue it. You stood up bringing your fingers to your lips creating an ear piercing whistle to call your horse back. You heard a small commotion behind you and when you snapped your head back, Erwins horse had found him and he had mounted taking off towards the armored titan. "Fuck! ERWIN. WHAT THE HELL?" You screamed after him frantically looking for your horse who was making its way to you.
