Once I was ready with help from Jas, I leave my house and head for the banquet hall, where Arthur has only just arrived, along with the other knights.

Arthur asks me, "Have you seen Agravaine?"

I reply, "Uh, no, Sire. Not since this morning."

"Strange. He should've been here by now," He mutters. I had to silently agree. Arthur adds, smiling at me, "By the way, you look wonderful this evening."

I giggle and say, "Why, thank you, Your Highness! And you look dashing!"

Arthur smirks as he says, "Thank you—you weren't being sarcastic just then, we're you, Astrid?"

I chuckle as I nod and say, "Of course not!" Arthur grins at me and I take my seat beside Percival. Arthur goes to his seat as he unsheathes his sword and sets it on the table.

I look up as Percival pours me some wine and see my husband enter, grinning like he knows something I don't.

Arthur says excitedly as I pile some food into my plate, "Ah! My favourite! Herb crusted capon!"
