KIM YE JIN / YIN

We had already arrived at the horror house. I'm beside Seokjin, who's saying he's not scared but clinging onto my arms firmly. We walk through the pitch-dark hallway as the spooky sound gets louder and louder.

We stopped in the middle of walking as we all shouted and saw the bloody coffin with a headless person inside. I glanced at the latter besides me, who was catching his breath and uttering profanities. I look at the coffin again and examine the things inside of it. Phew! It's just a mannequin with fake bloody objects that they put on. This is the most spine-chilling thing I've ever seen in my entire life, yet I enjoy it.

Nagpauna nang maglakad sila Yoongi at Jimin kaya sumunod na kaming dalawa ng katabi ko. After a few seconds, Seokjin stopped walking and looked at his feet.

The light begins to flicker once more. Nagulat naman ako nang may humila sa braso ko papalayo kay Seokjin at tinakpan ang aking bibig.

"Don't make a sound. Kami 'to ni Yoongi." Jimin whispered to my ears so I nodded. He took his hand out of my mouth, and I turned around. "Shhh... Let's prank Seokjinnie hyung." I simply agree so we all giggled silently.

They hand me a white cloth large enough to cover my entire body. Since it is thin linen, I can still see my way around.

"Quickly!" Jimin says, in a hushed tone, and we follow Seokjin. Pumunta s'ya sa kaliwang daan kaya tahimik kaming sumunod sakanya. The spooky sound goes louder and louder again, but I'm not scared anymore, kase ako na ang mananakot ngayon.

"You can go now, guys. Antayin n'yo nalang kami sa exit." I said to brother Yoongi and Jimin. They immediately acceded to my demand. Doon sila sa kanan dumaan. Tumingin ako ulit ngayon kay Seokjin na naglalakad sa mirror maze at mabilis s'yang sinundan.

"Anong klaseng lugar 'to? Bakit may mirror maze?" I heard Seokjin exclaimed kaya natawa nalang ako at patakbong pumasok doon.

He suddenly looked behind, so I quickly hid where he couldn't see my reflection in the mirrors. Kala ko mahuhuli na ako sa prank na 'to. Bigla nanamang may tumugtog at nakita ko na nagmadali na si Seokjin kaya dali-daling na akong lumapit.

"F*ck it! Lagot talaga yung tatlong saakin kapag nakalabas ak- AHHHH!" He yelled when I touched his back. His reaction was instantly calmed when he saw my face.

"HAHAHAHAHHAHA ako lang ito, Jin!" I laughed extremely hard. It's so cute when he's getting scared.

"Diyos ko! Papatayin mo ata ako sa takot!" He looked at me teary-eyed. Aww sorry. Masyado ata akong natuwa sa prank na ito.

"Ahhh, nandoon sila sa labas inaantay ka pft." Yin, calm yourself. You should stop laughing.

"Sabi ko sasamahan lang kita, pero iniwan mo ako sa loob. Katampo ha." He pouted at me.

"No. I didn't. Kaya nga nandito ako ngayon eh." I reasoned out. "Tara na nga sa labas." I guide him to make it through the exit. "Sorry for pranking you, Jin."

"It's alright. At least you enjoyed it. " I sighed. Why does he always think about the happiness of others even though it can hurt him?

That's why it's difficult for me to say my true feelings to him. I don't want Seokjin to be hurt that much. He's a very kind and delicate person. He always put himself in others' shoes. He understands and feels empathy for the people that surround him, and I'm in the same way also.

Of course, if I say that I only see Seokjin as my friend, it can be tormenting to him.

"Let us eat first before we go to the last ride." Malapit nang maggabi at dumidilim na rin ang paligid kaya humanap muna kami ng lugar kung saan pwedeng kumain. We bought and ate food from different stalls while watching the others enjoying this crowded yet splendid place.

"I like the corn dogs and lemonade there. Babalik talaga ako dito next time para matikman 'yun." Jimin said while munching his food. Yoongi checked him and gave him some tissue to clean up his mess. They were enjoying this double date, didn't they?

"Yin, you already finished eating?" I nodded to Seokjin and then he gave me a bottle of water. The person who will be in a relationship with Seokjin is very lucky. He's a thoughtful guy.

"This friend of mine is so very caring." I complimented him.

"Syempre, ako lang 'to. Boyfriend material, don't you think?" Binigyan nya ako ng isang kindat at natawa nalang ako.

"Of course, as you should." Pero hindi saakin. I'm sorry, but I need to focus more on my studies.

My family and I are planning to stay in the States for good. I'm preparing myself for the exam at the prestigious university there. My goal right now is to get good grades so I can have a better career in the future. Pero hindi ko parin alam kung paano ko sasabihin kay Seokjin lahat.

That day, when he said he wanted to pursue me, I didn't even think at that time and said "yes" instantly. I will honestly say that I blushed that time because who would not be flattered if someone confessed to you? At alam kong yung oras na iyon ay nagagalit s'ya sa pinsan ko. I just want him to feel good when he goes to his home. But this is the grave repercussion of my wrong decisions in life, knowing that I'm scared of commitment.

"Tapos na ba lahat kumain? Let's go on one last ride." Jimin exclaimed while clapping his hands. My preoccupied mind lived again and we went to the Ferris Wheel.

Maikli lang ang pila sa huli naming sasakyan dito sa Amusement Park kaya mabilis kaming nakaupo agad. Magkasama kami sa cabin ni Jin while the two have their own. This is the last ride, so we must have a romantic chat with our partners. which is slightly uneasy for me.

Nagsimula nang gumalaw ang Ferris Wheel at napatingin ako sa bintana dahil sa sobrang ganda ng view sa labas. The city lights, the tall buildings, the shimmering luminescence in the streets, and the moon's beauty itself make me want to stay here forever. I was lost for words, amazed at this view, not until I heard a shutter coming from Seokjin's phone.

Napatingin nalang ako sakanya habang s'ya ay nakangisi. Kaya pilit kong inabot ang phone nito pero mabilis n'ya itong natago sa kan'yang bulsa.

"Did you enjoy the view that much and did it make you forget about me?" I rolled my eyes at his words.

"Pero mukhang okay lang naman ata sa'yo kasi marami kang nakuha litrato?" I said sarcastically whilst folding my arms. He got his phone in his pocket and faced me, seeing my photos being deleted.

"Okay, so Are you happy now, Yin?" I nodded and looked again outside. "...Pero hindi ko dinelete lahat ah. Nagtira ako mga tatlo HAHAHAHAHA."

"Yeah, that's fine." I plainly uttered. May nakita naman akong kumikislap sa langit kaya tinanong ko kay Seokjin kung ano iyon.

"Maybe an airplane, I think?" I give him a confused look. Hinawi n'ya ang kamay n'ya sa ere senyales na ibahin namin ang usapan. "Don't mind that Yin and let's talk about something."

"Then tell me, what do you want to talk about?" I questioned being genuine this time.

"What are your plans for the future?"

"Hmmm... My plans? Well, I want to study more and become a lawyer. Then travel the world with my family. "

"Great choice." I smiled at him.

"Then how about you, Seokjin, what are your plans in the near future?" I want to ask him about that too. Encountering kind people and asking what their plans are in life is a great opportunity since they will talk about worthwhile things and make you think you should stay and live in this cruel world.

"Me? I want to be an engineer. And if I can't be like that, I will help with my family business, do some charity work, and help poor people." He opened his mouth and shook his head. "No. Even if I become an engineer, I will do charity works." He said, changing his answer.

"Wow parang sagutan lang ng kandidato ah." Seokjin and I chuckled. "Kidding aside, I'm delighted with your answer. I hope more people will be like you." He thanked me.

Nagpalitan pa kami ng mararaming tanong sa isa't-isa at hindi na namin nabantayan ang oras. Seokjin is a great listener and speaker, so it's easy to come along with him. But this time, I think he wants to change the topic.

"Uhm... About sa panliligaw ko, what do you think? Did I make you uncomfortable?" I became stiff with his questions. Uh... Paano ko nga ba ito sasagutin?

"No-you're not. You are my friend after all. Ang pangit naman kung hindi ako komportable saiyo, diba?" I look into his eyes. "But you know, when someone is courting you, your relationship with each other will be leveled up. Malapit na kayo sa pagiging magkasintahan-" I didn't continue what I'm saying dahil huminto na ang sinasakyan namin.

"Yeah, yeah. I will try to understand you, Yin. I will wait until you say your sweet 'yes' to me." Inantay naming bumukas ang pinto bago kami lumabas. Nandoon narin pala sila Jimin at Yoongi na nag-aantay saamin.

"Did you guys enjoy it? Marami ata kayong napag-usapan." Jimin gave me a tease look. Hinayaan ko nalang s'ya at kumapit sa braso n'ya.

"It's getting late, I guess. Let's go home na."
