He's Back

Nathan's POV

 I hear the door being knocked in. Somehow, we all end up at the door checking to see who it is. Kayla scoots through me and Max to look. "Holy. God. Oh my god N-N-Nathan, it's him." she said stepping away from the door. "Who?" Everyone asked quietly. "Later." I motioned. "Tell that bastard i'm not here!" I hear Kayla whisper-yell. I open the door. "Who are you?" I ask when I open it. "Shawn. Is there a girl named Kayla here?" He said. I went wide-eyed. THIS is the devil who abused her. "She's not here." I said through gritted teeth. "Okay, well i'll just come back later." He said, then walked away. "How about never..." I said once he was out of earshot. "Nath who the hell was that? And why was he asking for Kayla?" The guys asked. "Kayla will tell you." I said.

Kayla's POV

 "That, boys, was my ex boyfriend. We do not have a good history. I got abused by him. He also threatened to kill me if I told anyone." I said. "You have got to be fucking kidding me." Siva said. "Sadly, no. Wanna know the whole story?" I asked. "Sort of." Jay said. "Okay then. Well, his name is Shawn. He and I started out as a great couple. Much like myself and Nathan now. But he started drinking and smoking a lot. And whenever he came home drunk, or high, he would beat me. If I did something he didn't like, he'd beat me. If I tried to stand up for myself, he'd beat me. Sometimes he'd beat me out of pure violence. Then one day, he beat me to my breaking point. He told me, if I told the police or ANYONE about my abuse, he'd find me and kill me. And a few hours ago, when I fell asleep, I had a dream of it. Nightmare I should say. And I told Nathan. And now i'm telling you lads. I just can't believe he found me. How the fuck did he find me!?" I put my head in my hands. "Well, we are not letting him touch you. He has to go through ALL of us to get to you." Jay said. "I'm just glad we didn't let him in." Tom said. "I can't let him know i'm here. None of us can let him know!" I said, scared. "You have nothing to worry about. You're with us. We won't let anything happen to you." Max said. That made me feel better, but somehow I got this feeling that he was somewhere, watching for me, waiting for me.
