Kayla's POV

I woke up this morning sprawled out across the bed. My legs a feet were going All kinds of ways, whilst my arms had gone in all directions. I got up and went to the bathroom. I checked my self in the mirror and found something purple on my neck. Holy shit, it was a hickey. Rapidly growing, at that. I turned to see Nathan still in the bed, but it looked as if he was shuffling out of his sleep. He got up and went over to me. I looked to see if he had a hickey as well, and sure enough, he did. I started to laugh a little. But I realized, I have work today! How the HELL am I going to cover this up? Well, a little makeup wouldn't hurt...

I took a shower and I check the time. 9:45 a.m.. I was told I had to be there at ten, so I was good, I still had time. I walked out of the room, and Tom immediately greeted me with, "HICKEY!". I staggered back, surprised. I guess I  hadn't covered it up so well. I groaned, "How the hell did you...nevermind." I was about to ask, but didn't. "How'd I know? Here's a hint, you're makeup skills are rubbish." He pointed. I immediately covered it up with my hand and he started laughing. Nathan then walked out of the room with almost the same expression as me. "Did you get a...." he asked when he walked out. I moved my hand away in a response. He started to blush, as did I. "I have to go." I said. "Where?" They both asked. "To work, duh!" i said as i went to grab my phone. "Make sure to cover that hickey!" Tom yelled as I walked out.

As I got to work, I got a message on my phone. I decided not to check it yet, considering I had a dreaded feeling on who it was from. When I got into the boutique, Jenny greeted me. "Hey Kayla." she said. "Hey," I said. I checked the time again, 10:02. So we should open in a few. "We're open!" Jenny called. I flipped the CLOSED sign to OPEN and waited. A guy walked in. He looked like someone I thought I knew, but I pushed the thought away. "Hi and welcome to Maire's Boutique. How may I help you?" I asked. "Red roses please. Make it a bakers dozen." he said. "Vase or wrapped up?"

"Wrapped up." I ran to the back room and cut the roses and came back a minute later. "Thank you," he said. "And may I say, you look very familiar." What was I supposed to say to that? "Thanks..." I said unevenly. "I think." I muttered. When he left, i thought about that one costumer all day. He seemed like someone I knew. Someone i knew personally.

The rest of the day trolled on. it was a fairly slow day, to say the least. When 6:00 came around, I rushed out of there so quickly I didn't bother saying goodbye to anyone. That one costumer still sat in my mind. My phone suddenly buzzed. 1 new message. 'If you think i'm not watching, i am. watch out. I'll show up when you least expect it. -S' S. I knew that S meant Shawn. Who else would it be? I got in my car, and drove home with a queasy feeling left in my stomach.
