HINDI na ma-control ni Deuce ang kanyang emosyon sa mga oras na iyon He drove his car at furious speed. He doesn't care if he gets into an accident. The rain is still heavy.
Masama ang loob niya kay Thea. She didn't even believe him.
It's too late when he noticed the motorcycle on his front. Mabilis niyang nakabig ang manibela pero hindi niya alam kung saan siya tatama. Basta, iniwasan niya ang motor.
HINDI mapigilan nina Dave ang magpalakad-lakad sa labas ng emergency room sa labis na pag-aalala para sa kaibigan nilang nasa loob, nag-aagaw buhay dahil sa tinamong aksidente nang nabangga ito ng sasakyan.
Tanya silently waiting beside Zach. Hindi nila alam kung gaano katagal ang operasyon. Basta, nagdadasal lang sila na maging successful ang operasyon. Mayamaya ay umupo na rin sa tabi ni Tanya si Dave. He hugged her.
Lumapit ang Doctor kina Dave na nakaupo sa labas ng operating room. Kanina pa sila naghihintay sa naging operasyon ng kaibigan nila.
"How's the patient Doc?" Dave asked. Tumayo silang lahat at agad na lumapit sa Doctor.
"Hindi maganda ang lagay ng pasyente. I can't tell you right now kung kailan siya magigising o gigising pa siya. Prepare yourself, kung magigising ang pasyente, she'll be in a comatose state."
Tinutop ni Tanya ang bibig sa narinig, agad siyang inalalayan ni Dave. Hindi niya kaya ang narinig na sinabi ng Doctor sa kanila. She felt as if she couldn't breathe because of the enormity of what she was experiencing at the time. It was very painful to hear.
"A-te." Tanya cried harder. Niyakap siya ni Dave. "Hindi ko kayang mawala si Ate, Dave. Mabubuhay siya 'di ba? Malakas si Ate, eh."
She buried herself in Dave's chest. Do'n siya umiyak nang umiya. With his warm embrace, she draws strength in his arms.
Naramdaman ni Tanya ang paghalik sa kanya ni Dave sa ulo habang yakap-yakap siya nito nang mahigpit. "She'll be okay. Everything will be okay," pag-aalo ni Dave sa kanya.
DEUCE cannot utter any words to say. His entire world seemed to come crashing down around him in an instant. He felt that he couldn't breathe anymore.
He closed his eyes tightly and began to cry. He tried to put aside his emotions but he failed. He gathered all his strength to take a step. Parang hindi niya kasi kayang pumasok sa loob.
Dinala rin siya kanina sa hospital when he got an accident. Pero konting galos lang naman ang nangyari sa kanya. Mabilis naman siyang nakaiwas sa motor na nakasalubong niya pero sa sidewalk siya bumangga. Mabuti na lang at walang naglalakad sa mga oras na 'yon because it was midnight.
Looking at Thea, who was laying in a hospital bed, broke his heart. He walked slowly and sat on the chair beside her bed. He took a deep breath and controlled his emotions. He firmly closed his eyes. His hand is shaken in nervousness.
"Where are you Deuce?" With Tyrone's tone of voice, Deuce can't help but to feel nervous.
"Pauwi na ako Ty. What happened?" He worriedly asked. His heart beats too fast in nervousness.
"Si Thea..."
He can hear loud noise as if he's in the hospital. Where is he? Worries instantly flashed his mind when he heard Dave and Zach talking. He can't clearly heard their conversation. He even heard Tanya's voice? He is not sure but he has this feeling something's not right.
"W-hat, w-hat about her?" He stutter while asking. He is too nervous at that moment. He is silently praying that it's not what he's thinking.
He cannot forgive himself if something bad happened on Thea.
