Canon-divergent. Lots of blood and angst.
I honestly thought this book was too fluffy so I started writing more angst and now I cAn'T sToP hAlP—

"Timjangnim!" Hanna yelled, seeing his figure standing at the door to the shrine.
He locked his eyes with hers, then gripped his borrowed gun and ducked back inside.
Hanna grabbed the radio inside the bus and pressed the talk button. "Timjangnim, are you not coming with us?"
"Hanna..." his voice came through the static. She found it ironic that they were only a few meters apart yet still talking by radio. "Some people are still inside. I need to get them out."
"What?" Hanna asked, horrified.
"Go," Kangmu ordered. "I'll catch up."
No, no, no... Hanna felt her body tremble. The girls inside the bus started panicking, seeing the headstrong and seemingly fearless ANSP agent on the verge of tears.
Hanna steeled herself, throwing the radio back into the bus.
"One second," she said to the girls. "It's okay, don't worry."
She ran towards the door of the shrine. Kangmu stood at the top of the steps leading downwards.
"Hanna-ya? What are you doing here?"
"Take them all and get out," she said, putting her hand on the gun he carried. "I'll help Sooho."
"What? I'm not letting you-"
She gripped his hand on the gun. "Please. You've been here long enough."
Kangmu stared at her like she'd gone crazy. "I'm not letting you risk your life-"
"And I'm not letting you risk yours!" She snapped. She snatched the gun out of his hands. "Go!"
"Jang Hanna—"
Hanna grabbed his face with her free hand and kissed him— a short, bittersweet goodbye. "I'll see you when this is all over."
Without giving him time to react, she turned and ran down the stairs after Sooho.
"Jang Hanna!" Kangmu yelled. "Stop!"
She whipped around, firing a single shot into the ceiling of the little shrine, nowhere near his head, but still a warning. "Go!"
She disappeared into the darkness.
Over Kangmu's radio, he heard orders for more soldiers to take up station at the shrine. He cursed and ran outside, jumping into the driver's seat of the bus and starting up the engine.
Meanwhile, Hanna ran into the basement of the dorm. She wasn't very familiar with the layout, but she saw a staircase leading up. She rushed towards it, seeing a trail of dusty footprints going up the stairs.
It must be Sooho, she realized.
She followed the trail, creeping silently into the main part of the dorm. She heard noises from the floor above her and rushed up the stairs.
