I've seen this setup before a couple times but the Hanmu angle never gets expanded on and why am I here if not to focus too much on Hanmu?
Set three-ish years after the events of Snowdrop.

Jang Hanna tapped her fingers on her coffee mug, looking across the table at the tall short-haired man who'd just sat down. Lee Kangmu sat next to her.
"So," she said as the man nervously fiddled with a few matches from the box on the table. "Lim Sooho-ssi. You're back."
He smiled nervously, looking to Kangmu as if for reassurance. The agent only shrugged in return.
"It appears I am."
Hanna looked out the window of the Rome Cafe, across the street and up the hill to where the all-too-familiar Hosu Womens' University dormitory stood proudly. Sooho followed her gaze.
"You're only back because of her, aren't you?" Kangmu asked, interrupting the heavy silence despite the energetic buzz around the cafe.
"Yes," Sooho said, tearing his gaze away from the window. "I need to let her know I'm alive."
"Why did you stay away so long?" Hanna asked. "You said it only took you a few months to heal. Why are you back three years later?"
Sooho looked ashamedly down at her hands, accidentally snapping the match he was holding. "It was too dangerous. I didn't want to risk putting her in any more danger..."
"So you thought staying away from her, letting her think you were dead was the better option?" Kangmu demanded. "Don't you think that would've hurt her even more than what could've happened if you'd been there? At least she'd have you. She's been alone for three years, Lim Sooho. And you thought staying away would be better for her?"
"Ya," Hanna interrupted him. Kangmu glanced at her, then quickly dropped his gaze down to his lap. The look she was giving him was enough to shut him up.
Sooho was confused for a couple seconds before he pieced it together. Kangmu had literally abandoned Hanna for six entire years. He really wasn't in a place to criticize Sooho's decision.
These two idiots think alike, Hanna thought to herself, shaking her head. No wonder they became friends.
"Anyway, Sooho-ssi," she said, sipping her coffee. "I suggest you make your reunion with Eun Yeongro one to remember."
Sooho sat a little straighter in the little booth. "I will. I promise."
"Good. Otherwise, the law of being Yeongro's unnie dictates that I'll have to kill you."
Sooho gulped nervously as Hanna smirked. "I-uh... I'll keep that in mind."
The two agents and one former agent left the cafe, Sooho going back to his new residence to plan out the details of his and Yeongro's reunion, leaving Hanna and Kangmu to drive back to the ANSP headquarters. It was past sunset once they got there, and the building was empty. Kangmu unlocked the door to his office, going in to grab some reports he was supposed to go over. Hanna waited, leaning outside the doorway and watching him. He hadn't spoken a word to her after leaving the cafe. He'd barely even looked at her, or at least, when she looked at him, he'd quickly turn away.
"Are you angry with me?" Hanna asked quietly as he passed her to exit the office.
Kangmu stopped in his tracks, feeling her eyes on him. "Anniyo."
"Then why are you being so quiet?"
He turned to look at her. The air suddenly felt heavier, harder to breathe in as their eyes locked. "Aren't you angry with me?"
She blinked. "Anniyo. Why would I be?"
"You got mad when I yelled at Sooho for disappearing for three years, didn't you? Since I vanished on you for double that time. I'm even worse than he is, but I got mad at him for it. Didn't you think I was being a hypocritical byung-shin?"
"Maybe you were a tad hypocritical," Hanna admitted with an amused and relieved smile. She grabbed Kangmu's arm, pulling him close to her. "But I'm not mad. I just thought it was... kind of funny."
"Funny?" He echoed. "Leaving you is the biggest regret of my life, and you think this is funny?"
"Calm down," she said, tightening her grip on his sleeve. "That was a long time ago. You and Sooho are just two idiots who share the same wrong opinions."
"Ya," he huffed. "I'm not an-"
Hanna tilted her head, a small smirk on her lips.
"Okay, maybe I am an idiot," Kangmu relented. "But only occasionally."
Hanna rolled her eyes playfully. "Come here, babo-ya."
Before Kangmu could react or even process her words, she wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pushed herself up on her tiptoes so she could connect their lips. The papers Kangmu had been holding fell to the floor, but neither noticed or cared. One of his arms wrapped around her waist while the other cupped her cheek as he kissed her back. The kiss was sweet, with a bit of playful exasperation thrown in. Hanna couldn't resist smiling against his lips. Kangmu pulled back, brushing his thumb against her bottom lip and watching her cheeks turn pink as her eyes met his.
"You may be an idiot," Hanna murmured, their foreheads still touching, "but I still love you."
Kangmu couldn't stop a lovesick smile from appearing on his face. "Saranghae, Hanna-ya."
She pressed a quick peck to his lips before completely pulling away from him. "Now, let's just hope Sooho doesn't fuck this up and I don't have to kill him. For real this time."
